Best Ukiha Hotels

"The ryokan cum hotel is located in a historic town dating back to the Edo period, however, this building is only 106 years old consisting of 5 rooms. I stayed at the one with beds upstairs by way of access via a steep flight of stairs, definitely not for elderly. The room was nice and clean, heating and cooling by split type aircons, bathroom with a wooden tub, no TV. Reception unavailable after 6:30pm, if you want anything after that, WhatsApp them. Since the hotel is located right on a major road, therefore, it was extremely noisy all the time with road noise. Difficult to get a decent sleep. Breakfast was served at another location, about 8-10min walk to a 160 year old building. Food was yummy and service was attentive. A nice experience overall, but for the price I would choose another one where it's in a quieter location."

It is 7-8 minutes by car from Chikugooishi Station, but there is no taxi at the station, so it would be better to request a pick-up service in advance. Please call a taxi if you ask. As with other Fairfield hotels in Japan there's a nice spacious lounge with self service beverage equipment, microwave and oven. Room is quiet, spacious with very comfortable beds.
