Yumei Hotel

The building itself is wonderful. Traces of a former luxury inn are everywhere. The lobby is very stylish, and the rooms are old Japanese-style but have been renovated, and are spacious and impressive. We stayed here on a tour, and the tour guide didn't say much good about it, but it was certainly quite cold outside the rooms. There were heaters and oil stoves in the lobby and wide corridors. However, I thought it was a good inn with a nostalgic feel, even though it was inconvenient. For meals, chairs were provided in the tatami-floored banquet hall, and we had Japanese set meals for both breakfast and dinner, which were very delicious. The only disappointment was the water facilities. The large public bath, while stylish, was a little lacking in cleanliness. It can't be helped because it's a sulfur spring. The staff were kind and friendly, and they carried suitcases up the stairs for us.
