This was one of the most fun hotels I have ever seen. It is definitely off the beaten path and I don't think the taxi enjoyed getting there but it is so cool to see. Everything is round. We stayed in the suite with hot tub. The beds and the room are round and the bathroom is round too. It was such a fun place to be. There are a lot of lounge areas to sit in. We ate dinner in town and it was a 14 soles taxi ride to get there that the hotel arranged. Breakfast was made to order and was very delicious. I would definitely recommend this beautiful place.
This hotel has beautiful grounds but is very remote. As a result you have no choice but to stay at the hotel for meals. The food is good. The rate included a buffet breakfast that had sufficient variety for my 2 days. The pizza place was also good. My room was booked as a single and I was “upgraded” to a quad with a small balcony. I was told that the room rate did not include coffee or tea sachets and that if I wanted coffee I would have to leave my room to get some at the cafe. . I cannot get my head around that since the cost for the little packets of coffee is quite minimal. The room upgrade also did not have a bathtub. Perhaps the worst part of my stay was that the room became quite hot and stuffy. There is no air con and so the only thing to do is to open the window. These windows do not have a lock and although I was on the second floor I did not feel safe sleeping with the window wide open. The possibility of the ever present flies joining me was not pleasant. This also required opening the curtains so that hotel lights shone in. A fan was provided on my second night and that was better. The room was clean. The shower was good but you can slip and hurt yourself if not careful because the floor tiles in the shower become dangerously slippery when wet. Other reviews have been more positive than mine. The place is beautiful, the staff are very professional but the lack of central cooling, failure to provide minimal coffee and tea sachets, the lack of an expected bathtub and remoteness of the hotel dampen my enthusiasm considerably.

Belmond Hotel is my personal favorite hotel brand, no one! Although it is relatively niche compared to other five-star hotels, it is definitely an aristocratic stay experience! From check-in to check-out at the front desk, the hotel has really paid attention to every detail. The Belmond Hotel Machu Picchu is located at the door of Machu Picchu, which saves a lot of effort for tourists who visit early in the morning. I booked an all-inclusive room type with three meals. The choice of three meals is very rich, which is quite good for a mountaintop hotel with scarce supplies. The hotel still provides washing service after check-out, which is very intimate. After staying for two nights, Machu Picchu is a great experience! Ctrip's price is much cheaper than booking, very powerful!
Set on the banks of the sacred Urubamba River - in the shadow of the Andes lies Rio Sagrado - A Belmond Hotel - Sacred Valley. This oasis of calm has the feel of an ancient Incan farmstead. Staff lend the warmth of a family home while the treasures of the natural world are tangible.
.
From the soothing rumble of the river to the colourful flowers shrouding the property - relax on a guided tour of the gardens or practice yoga on the riverbanks. Float in our heated pool or sink into a hammock. Indulge at the Andean-style Spa Mayu Willka with luxurious body wraps of Incas Gold and organic cocoa before detoxing in the outdoor Jacuzzi.
.
Whether its waking to a shamans call or bedding down with a hot water bottle - we know its the little things that make your stay special. Feeding milk to our baby alpacas is a highlight for many - but snuggling up under a wool rug with a cup of muna tea can be just as enjoyable.
.
All rooms at Rio Sagrado offer river views. Look out on the gardens from your shower and all exude our authentic Andean charm. Exterior walls are rendered using ancient techniques - while interiors come alive with bright fabrics and alpaca wools. Come evening - head to El Huerto Bar for a zingy Pisco sour. Our barman has a wealth of knowledge on the local liquor - his tasting sessions are not to be missed. A fire roars on the terrace of El Huerto Restaurant. Here - dishes are made with ingredients fresh from the kitchen garden. The riverside El Jardin meanwhile - offers culinary theatre with its waterside barbecue and traditional pachamanca.
Such a beautiful place, staff and accommodation! Very welcoming and easy for any English speaker. The food is delicious. The bar is well stocked. Prices are very reasonable. The grounds with flowers and plantings are well cared for. Staff is always available and happy to help. It is thriving and vibrant. It is a bit away from town but it has everything you need so I never would have left - until I just had to. 😊

This resort was beautiful, it is newer and in excellent condition. It has a lot of amenities such as work out area, spa, star gazing, nightly bonfires, outside launchers with sun protection. The resort is laid out in one story structure with maybe four or five to a building. There are beautiful open spaces between each building and meandering sidewalks. It has a full service restaurant and bar. The dinner we had there was very good. The most compelling thing about this resort/hotel are the staff! Everyone we encountered had a wonderful smile and greeted or acknowledged us in perfect English. Of particular was Daniela at the front desk. She was wonderful and assisted us with the check out process and locating our driver. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

GGuest UserThis is a peaceful hotel in Urubamba in the Sacred Valley, about 10-15 minute walk into the town, restaurants and shops. It’s a beautiful setting, surrounded by mountains and with pretty gardens. The reception staff are very helpful. For what is described as a four star hotel, the rooms felt a little small, dark and sparse, but maybe that’s the point of an ex Monastery. We felt they could have provided more outside seating in the gardens to take advantage of the setting.
Sayacmarca Inn was an absolute Gem for its price-point. I stayed here for two nights on a trip to visit Machu Pichu. One of the best parts of this place is its location. It is pretty centrally located in Aguas Calientes; only a short 100 m walk to the city plaza. As well as directly next to the bus station to Machu Pichu (the que for the bus is literally right outside). Close by is the Artesenal Market and Train station as well. Good for shopping for souvenirs and artesenal goods (alpaca scarves/sweaters, jewelry, stones, etc). All around this location are plenty of good restaurants and shops to eat/dine at. If you want a relaxing evening after a long day of travel or coming down from Machu Pichu I highly recommend a walk up to the hot springs (Aguas Calientes). The walk is only about 400 m away and worth it! Hotel room was very comfortable and homey with views of the river. Also very relaxing/soothing to sleep with the sounds of the river! Noted only downside is there wasnt a turn down service for fresh sheets or towells after each night. But if you ask for them they will get you some. This place comes with a complimentary breakfast with a pretty good spread from fresh tropical fruit, baked bread , yogurt, fresh squeezed juice, and some delicious scrambled eggs! Last the staff were very helpful and kind; even with the language barrier they were able to answer my questions and point me in the right direction for good shopping and places to eat (the locals inside view). Overall I would stay here again. Exceptional place for this pricepoint!!
Edilberto helped us and picked us up from the station and helped us buy tickets, the location was favorable and the place is warm and friendly, everything was clean and the breakfast was delicious,We will return and recommend it to our friends because we loved it
GGuest UserNice place, excellent price. Everything in walking distance. Train is under the window it can get loud but you probably will be to tired from hikes and won’t notice it as much ! Would stay again. Thank you hotel for helping with luggage storage and being super friendly!
No, it is not The Park Hyatt, but remember, you are in the mountains of Peru, readying for a trek, not shopping on Fifth Avenue. The hotel is clean, safe, quiet conveniently located to restaurants, the train station, shpos and bars...the beds are comfortable, the shower and wifi work fine, breakfast was more than adequate. The chap running th property was super friendly and helpful, going out of his way to look after us. Even after checking out and returning inn the afternoon we were welcomed with tea and a dry place to shelter. We'd come back here simply due the kindnesss we were afforded.

GGuest UserBed was really comfortable. Johan and Marie were so accommodating. We arrived in the evening after a long day of trekking and they got us to our rooms very quickly and understanding of how tired we were. The water was so loud being by the river at the end of rainy season that we were lulled to sleep both nights. All-natural sound machine. Hotel is close to everything. Rooms were clean and decorated uniquely. Breakfast in the morning was great, on top of the buffet Marie also scrambled eggs for anyone who requested. We had a great stay.
PP250Think of the furthest from train station, bus to machu picchu and restaurants, there is this hotel. However the service is really nice and the room is real clean. They cook me this breakfast. i love it apart from the location.
