The building has a traditional architecture with a vintage vibe. Although it has an acceptable general maintenance some details lower the category. Location is up the montain and like 10 block from downtown, so if you don't rent a car, there are way better options. NO WI-FI in the rooms!!!! Only at common areas. You need it to check the weather, recieve messages from family and coordinate activities during your stay. Beds are good, check if there are queen or twin available. I stayed with my bf and had to sleep in separated beds. The bathroom is old, no other way to describe it. And water comes out making water splashes (no fun on the hot water, turning into ice cold or burning hot. 😱) Front desk employees are mostly kind, but not too much into the guest concerns. The worst: we took 3 extra sandwiches from breakfast service (had to leave for a 5 hour trekking walk really early, with no time to go anywhere else) and it was a bit of an scandal, plus they charge us a value of a whole dinner. Overall a disappointing experience. There are plenty of other options: more modern, better located, and I guess better serverd (since they not set the standar very high in this aspect).

I traveled with my husband and 2 children in January 2025. The hotel is old, but comfortable. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean. However, the wifi only worked at the reception and restaurant. The breakfast was basic and repetitive, but it met our needs. The hotel restaurant offers lunch and dinner options. The hotel is a little far from the main avenue, about 1.5 km away, and since it is on a high part, it has a beautiful view of the Beagle Channel.

Going down to the center is easy, going up is difficult, but if you don't feel like walking, a taxi to the hotel is approximately $1,600 in April 2024. This hotel must have been a good choice in the 70s or 80s (it seems that it has fallen behind in terms of both maintenance and technology). A disaster. It is a hotel for students, a trip for sixth grade students at most. We stayed at the hotel during the winter holidays (July) thinking it would be a family hotel as advertised. We found that they had sold the entire hotel to a contingent of children. We were never able to use the restaurant that they advertise because the priority was for the children (they don't have a restaurant for the capacity they say they have, only 2 waiters) the common guest has no right to anything since it is a student hotel... The noise is constant without any supervision from the hotel. The breakfast was extremely poor in all respects. The rooms smell like sewage and are noisy. I can't think of anything positive to write. I think a zero is too much. Oh, it has parking, the car went well.

I stayed in this hotel because I went with a group and the agency booked this hotel and I guess that is the only way that someone can stay in this place is because they give a bribe to the agencies. The hotel is not bad, but it is old and is very far from the center, and up a hill and there is nothing nearby, not even a kiosk to buy mineral water, so for anything you have to go up and down steep streets or take a taxi. Hice una reserva totalmente paga por $ 96M para los días 20 al 24/03. El día de llegada, es decir el 20/03 les manifesté mi imposibilidad de llegar al hotel por problemas ajenas a mi voluntad, dado que hubo dificultades para pasar a la isla por el estrecho de Magallanes, en Primera Angostura, Chile por vientos fuertes y no daban garantías para pasar. Por esa razón les solicite si me podían devolver el pago efectuado descontado sus gastos o que quede a cuenta para otra oportunidad en fecha a convenir. El hotel me contesta que no hace devoluciones por cancelaciones de reservas, sobre todo cuando la cancelación (anulación) se realiza el mismo día del ingreso. Es precisamente para evitar cancelaciones que pedimos el pago total en forma anticipada. Parece que no tuvieron en cuenta mi correo, actuando como LADRONES, quedándose con mi dinero. Les volví a reclamar y no me contestaron nada. Los denunciaré en Defensa del Consumidor dado que se aprovechan de la gente.
