2-Star Hotels in Usuki

The host was very friendly and the room was clean and spacious. I had a traditional style Japanese room. The futon had several layers and was very comfortable. It was nice and close to usuki station, but even though there were lots of nearby restaurants on google I had a hard time finding a place to eat dinner when I went around 6:30. Most of them were closed. It’s also kind of far from the main attraction feature of usuki (the stone Buddhas).

Good location, a few steps aways (less minute) walk to the Usuki station, good food at restaurant at 1st floor and a short distance to Usuki Shipyard. Close to the famous Buddha Statue.

Shunkouen enjoys a location in Usuki, 15 miles from Oita Bank Dome and 18 miles from Oita Station. Featuring a restaurant, the property also has a garden and a hot spring bath. I got off at Upper Sapporo Station, and then spent 850 yen to take a taxi to the hotel. There was no other choice. I walked for more than 15 minutes with my suitcase. It was impossible on a hot day. Later, I found that I could get off at Upper Sapporo Station and take the bus to the ”No Hands Hidden” station. I got off and walked for two minutes. The hotel is large in size, rare and spacious, the twin room includes double breakfast, the price is quite high, there are various large supermarkets and places to forage, very convenient. However, pay attention to summer, there are various small mosquitoes flying in when the window is opened.
