What an incredible experience we had at Hacienda! The people were amazing - so kind and attentive. Whenever we had any questions or needs, the staff immediately met them. My husband and I plan to return because this place is truly a diamond in the rough. It's cozy, full of character, and timeless. We had so much fun and felt extremely safe and relaxed. We will miss not only our stay at Hacienda, but also the wonderful people we met there. We will always remember and appreciate the culture, language, and traditions that were shared with us. We read a bunch of the other reviews before staying, but decided to try it out anyway. I feel expectations simply need to be adjusted. The place is beautiful, and is over 400 years old. If you are expecting a brand new facility with every amenity, this isn't it. But if you want a truly unique experience that has its quirks, that you won't find anywhere else, this is perfect. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which is likely the nicest room, but it was amazing. Comfortable bed, very new air conditioner, huge, beautiful space, and amazing charm. I slept like a baby and loved the experience.

Let me start, by saying we read all the reviews before coming, and we were terrified. We realized that you have to be a certain kind of person, to truly appreciate this place for what it is. We stayed in 5 star hotels in Cancun, all inclusive resorts, and boutique hotels. When we came here, we EXPECTED old, historic, and hopefully ******* (haha) and that’s what we got! We loved how beautiful the property was, and explored it up and down…very antique, old, beautiful decorations and furniture, but clean! Our room (Honeymoon Suite) was beautiful, we got the best nights sleep, and woke up to the sounds of birds and peacocks! This place is maybe 10 minutes from downtown Valladolid, but there are cheap taxis that run 24 hours, and finding the place was no problem. Don’t expect a resort. Don’t expect a brand new place. It’s old. It should look and feel old. The staff was SO friendly and we will stay again.

A day pass of $100 MXN that is worth paying, a beautiful castle that surprised us with the decoration and the hallways, we were just visiting and we were truly amazed, if you want to know something historical this is one of the places you should visit! ⛪️

Do not stay, it is super dirty, there is no service staff, the place looks good from the outside, but sleeping is terrifying, there is no service if you require something at night, it is not lit, you walk in the dark, the tub was dirty, the curtains to The bedroom is transparent, the super hard bed looks like stone, they only give you a sheet, they literally gave you a very expensive room in the basement. If you get hungry there is nothing to buy after 6, the pool can only be used from 9 am to 5 pm. The gardens are large and beautiful. But it's not worth losing a night sleeping, it turns into terror.
