Whilst the initial impression of the hotel and our room was that the decor was tired, I must say it was spotlessly clean. The bed was a small double accessible only from one side which made a night time visit to the toilet difficult for my husband. The bathroom was tiny but again, clean and perfectly functional. The toilet was in a separate cupboard. There was no furniture in the room (due to its very compact size) and a small fold up table would have helped greatly. There was a inbuilt wardrobe with sufficient space for clothes etc. However the real highlight is the hotel’s location opposite a pristine & clean beach, and just a few minutes walk away from the main town, which meant it was quieter at night. And also another plus was the room’s balcony with table, two chairs and a reclining deck chair. Perfect for a spot of sunbathing (or for either myself or my husband to get out of my way whilst we took it in turns to get ready in our small room!) The staff were friendly but no one spoke to us in English which is fine as I can manage with my basic French but some may struggle. We didn’t take breakfast as there was no outside seating option and we preferred to sit out and make the most of the weather. Overall, a lovely little hotel in a superb French beach resort.

We originally made our booking for the Hôtel de la Mer at the end of 2019 but due to the COVID-19 travelling restrictions that prevented trips to France, we had to wait more than 2 years for our visit. It was so worth the wait : the proprietors and all the staff were charming and helpful, the rooms were kept beautifully clean and the hotel could not be better placed for the beach and the town. We loved every minute of our stay.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans cet hôtel à l'occasion de nos vacances à Valras-Plage. Alors ok l'accueil est sympa, ok la vue est top si l'on a opté pour une chambre avec vue, ok l'emplacement est parfait, proche de la plage et du centre, ok la chambre était propre, mais elle était aussi TRES petite, avec une déco insipide, avec une salle de bain qui est inondée à chaque douche car la porte colmate mal, avec un WC minuscule, on a la clenche dans la figure quand on est assis sur le siège, avec aucune place pour mettre sa valise, avec une seule prise pour tout le monde (si on a pris le frigo qui en monopolise une, frigo qui refroidit moyennement en passant), avec un balcon en plein cagnard sans aucune ombre et sur lequel nous sommes du coup que peu allés, sans parking gratuit, etc ... En quittant l'hôtel, j'étais parti pour mettre 4 bulles, et puis nous avons séjourné dans un autre hôtel à Fréjus, et nous avons tout de suite vu la différence en terme de service et d'espace (chambre spacieuse, fontaine à eau fraîche, machine à glaçons, espace extérieur agréable, parking gratuit, etc ...), nous revivions, et pour quasiment le même prix. En résumé, il ne faudrait pas tout miser sur la vue et la proximité, et essayer d'agrémenter un peu mieux l'hôtel et les chambres qui la composent.

Hôtel très propre, super accueil, à conseiller vivement. Très bien situé. Nous avons séjourné dans une chambre familiale idéale pour un couple et deux enfants. Personnel aux petits soins et petit-déjeuner très complet. Aucun point négatif, hôtel à recommander !

Les chambres sont certes petites mais très propres avec tout ce qu'il faut. L'hôtel est très bien situé à 50 mètres de la mer avec un parking public juste en face. Pas de garage voiture mais un garage pour les vélos . La personne de la réception est très agréable et serviable. Excellent séjour.

L’impression d’être reçu chez quelqu’un tellement la propreté est irréprochable. Ça sent bon, on s’y sent bien. Un hôtel très calme et à proximité de tout. La vue sur la mer est magnifique. Pas besoin de piscine, on sort de l’hôtel est on est sur la plage ! Le petit dej est parfait, il y a de tout. Un parking est situé juste en face donc hyper pratique. Petit plus pour Amandine qui est adorable ❤️ vraiment, nous avons adoré et à notre prochain séjour à Valras, nous reviendrons c’est certain.
