We recently stayed at the Fairmont Vancouver and were pleased with its excellent location, conveniently close to designer shops and fine dining options. The spacious rooms provided ample comfort, although they had a more traditional feel. Initially, we encountered a minor issue with mold in our first room’s bathroom. However, the staff were quick to address the situation and promptly relocated us to a different room. While the amenities were functional, they did show signs of aging. Overall, we appreciated the hotel's prime location and the attentive service.

Great location with outdated room. Swing door lock was missing. AC is not working (maybe I’m not using it properly). Biggest issue is noise level. It’s 12:26am and there is loud music sound coming from somewhere non stop for the last 3 hours. My room is on 13th floor. I don’t know if it’s because Friday night and maybe it’s from a bar at the ground level. Don’t people sleep here. Next time I’ll find another hotel. Vancouver was great tho
After a call and a personal visit at the front desk, finally the noise stopped around 1:05am. It was from a rooftop party. I don’t think I can sleep tonight as I’m wide awake dealing with this issue.
The following day, checked at the front desk and found out that on the weekends, there are parties on 15th floor rooftop between Thanksgiving and year end. I was able to switch room to 7th floor and the problem disappeared the following 2 nights.
I loved the location and people were friendly but just beware that you may have to deal with loud music if you were to stay on 13,14th floor (maybe 12th floor) on the weekends in Nov/Dec.

The heating doesn't go above 22 degrees because of the gas limit. If you ask the reception for a heater, they will bring it to your room. The rest is perfect, it's a perfect hotel. It's close to City Central Station and has great public transportation.

The suite which cost nearly a thousand dollars a night actually had a bedroom as the door led into it, and the living room was further inside. It felt like a converted balcony. The small bathroom had no bathtub, and it was difficult for a slightly overweight person to turn around. It also locked itself for unknown reasons. I had to ask the front desk to send someone to fix it in the middle of the night, but no one answered the phone, so I had to go downstairs to the front desk to ask for help myself. It was a real disappointment.
