Vang Vieng Hotels with Bars

I had an incredible experience staying at Amari Vang Vieng. The hotel is beautifully designed and provides a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was witnessing the sunrise with breathtaking views surrounded by balloons from the balcony. The room was spacious and clean, and the swimming pool was another plus, allowing me to relax and enjoy the views. The restaurant next to the pool offers delicious food, I highly recommend it! The breakfast was amazing, with a large variety of dishes that were very tasty. Overall, I had an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend Amari Vang Vieng to anyone visiting this lovely town.

Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing views across the river to the stunning mountains. Rooms are nicely decorated with different local Lao culture items and a nice terrace and balcony respectively to enjoy the views. Spa is located right at the river front and several different packages are offered. Very enjoyable to relax in the afternoon. Staff is nice and welcoming. Breakfast is great with nice views. Food offered at dinner is nice but was missing something. Hotel is a bit dated but overall impression is very nice. Would definitely stay again.

best location and view. i recommend to upgrade for mountain n river view. otherwise not worth to stay. breakfast is good as well. nearby have everything even walking street market n coffee shop

Based upon the previous TA comments, i guess we were lucky that a new manager stepped in 2 weeks ago and, as far as we're concerned, had done a great job since then. The staff, if a little amateur in some aspects, is welcoming, helpfull and very attentive. Rooms was clean, with all required equipment in perfect working order (just wondering why our room-308-did not have a mini-bar, as all the items were laying on the floor at room temperature). Cocktails and diners were pleasant, thanks to the G. Manager's omni presence, i guess. Looks like this hotel needed a drastic change in management: the team is great and needs some close guidance and training. One ”minus” point though: the lighting in the room is way too weak: just impossible to properly read when in bed.

100% recommended if you come to Vang Vieng! The location of the hotel is perfect, you have the night market, morning market and bus station really close walking. You also have the train station at 40 min walking We stayed in the atic apartment and was amazing. Huge beautiful apartment with amazing balcony and views of Vang Vieng mountains. You can see the sunset and air balloons from the bed The facilities are also really good! You have a really nice bar where the food is delicious ( also the breakfast ), swimming pool and the staff is so kind and helpful A must in Vang Vieng 💯

We stayed in Vang Vieng for nights and we decided to stay at Tmark Resort. We were impressed with our first step into their lobby. Nice view of the mountain as a lobby background. A warm welcome from the reception staff upon arrival. A porter staff helped us to carry our bags, he was so polite and helpful. Another ”WOW” in this resort is the view from our room. The room was spacious and in good condition. They also provide a free shuttle van to the town but we preferred to stay and enjoy our time in the resort. We tried their food at the restaurant for dinner and the food was delicious at a reasonable price. In the morning, we went to their breakfast and there were plenty of choices. We saw a good mix of European and Asian guests. Yummy bakery items and fresh noodles were included. Smooth checking out and we will be back again for sure.

The hotel was in a great location.Walkable distance from many eateries .The room and shower was spacious and clean .The breakfast was a delicious traditional breakfast .The pancakes were really good . I didn’t get to experience the pool but it looked very clean .I would come back again .

The outside area by the pool was really nice but the rest was just about average. The photos are not accurate for what you get. The shower had no hot water and the rooms do not get cleaned whilst you are there. Reception area often has no one there and the tables are covered in ants. I also wouldn’t recommend booking activities through the hotel as they charge you more than they advertise in reception. We booked the hot air balloon for sunrise and pick up was advertised at 5:30am, then changed to 5:45am then changed to 6:20am and after sitting around for a while waiting we were finally told it’s actually going to be 6:45am (essentially missing the sunrise). The laundry service they tell you takes 24 hours but when you go to collect they say to give it another hour, then another, then another, then another. As a hotel it does the job of a bed to sleep in but then you may as well just book something at hostel price. You can get a lot more for your money else where.

This place will not disappoint. This is a great hostel with great location, great vibe, great staff and many options for beds (ie mixed dorm, 4 bed dorm, female dorm, etc). Everyone is very nice! We rented motor scooters and the staff spent a lot of time helping us learn to ride. They speak excellent English and are eager to help with travel information, tickets, etc! The hostel has a great vibe, fun little signs everywhere, good common areas, a pool table and a bar. Shared bath and showers are on the same floor as the dorms and clean. The layout allows for people to use showers, toilets and sinks at the same time so you never need to wait.

I recently stayed at Lisha Hotel, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The bathroom had a constant foul odor, and the plumbing system was a nightmare. Every time I took a shower, the water would flood all over the bathroom, reaching the toilet and sink. To make matters worse, there was a big gaping hole under the sink that allowed lizards and bugs to come into my room, which was unacceptable. Despite claiming to be a four-star hotel, Lisha Hotel fell far short of that standard. I would rate it as a two-star hotel at best, and I would give it a mere one star based on my experience. The staff at the hotel were not helpful at all. They lacked English language skills and were unfriendly. When I asked about train tickets, they claimed it was all sold out, even though I later found out that I could easily purchase them at the train station myself. Their misinformation and unhelpful attitude made my experience in Laos very difficult, and it has left me with no desire to visit the country again. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend booking at Lisha Hotel. The foul odor, plumbing issues, lack of cleanliness, unhelpful staff, and poor customer service are not reflective of a four-star hotel, and it did not meet my expectations. I would advise looking for alternative accommodations to avoid similar disappointments during your stay in Laos.
