2-Star Hotels in Vang Vieng

This place will not disappoint. This is a great hostel with great location, great vibe, great staff and many options for beds (ie mixed dorm, 4 bed dorm, female dorm, etc). Everyone is very nice! We rented motor scooters and the staff spent a lot of time helping us learn to ride. They speak excellent English and are eager to help with travel information, tickets, etc! The hostel has a great vibe, fun little signs everywhere, good common areas, a pool table and a bar. Shared bath and showers are on the same floor as the dorms and clean. The layout allows for people to use showers, toilets and sinks at the same time so you never need to wait.

The family who run this guesthouse are very accomodating and friendly. It's possible to book tours and buses through them which is very convenient. Breakfast is as you'd expect in Laos, bread with eggs and some cereal and fruit but done well and good portions, included in the price too! Room was very spacious and perfect location, very central but we didn't have any noise at night at all. Good Aircon, safe in the room, and cleaning service offered every day. Very much enjoyed our stay here. My only negative comment would be that we booked our hot air balloon ride through the guesthouse staff and it was a really negative experience. We didn't go over Vang Vieng and we were told it would be 30-35 mins and only went up for 15 mins. We didn't go high at all and just saw the tops of trees. Not the owners fault but I would go through another company if you are considering it. Other than this, the most ideal place to stay!

It's a hotel, but it feels like a good guesthouse if you stay in person (?) But compared to other hotels in terms of service or breakfast location, it was a very good hotel, so I stayed comfortably while I was there. I had a little bit of a person in the room who said it smelled like a tree, but I don't know.

Bambien has many accommodations in a small town. Although this hotel is close to the center of the city, you can spend a quiet time with a superb view without being interfered by anyone. The room is large enough and air conditioner Wi-Fi is no problem. Breakfast is not prepared, but there are many restaurants nearby. A short walk north, there is a morning market, and there is a local porridge shop, which is recommended for breakfast. The owners and their wife here are always indebted to and run a massage shop SMILE near the hotel, so you can get a massage cheaper than Thailand.

Check In Date : 28th August 2022. Check Out Date : 29th August 2022. Room : B9. This is my second visit to Vang Vieng. So I kind of know the area. Location : It is centrally located in the main junction in VV town. The hotel entrance is a small alley next to the restaurant of the same name. Sout Jai Restaurant and Sout Jai Guesthouse. The restaurant downstairs is busy and lively. Right across the hotel, there are 2 convenience stores. There are eateries scattered around the area and within walking distance, you can find no less than 3 Korean restaurants, bars, and burger stalls and shops selling excursions. I can walk to Nam Song river which is just down the road. When the sun came down, the junction is the liveliest part of town. The guesthouse is at the heart of it all. Reception and service : There are literally no reception area. Upon arrival, we were shown the way thru the restaurant. The owner is busy with handling the restaurant and also attending to us. But we didint think so much about the service because as long as he attended to us, thats good enough. The next say, we checked out and the owner let us put our rucksack in the restaurant secluded area so we can go to kayak and activities. There are no breakfast service provided I think. Room : We got the room at second floor. The stairs are high and a bit slippery. Whoever have disability, you simply cannot stay here due to the high steep stairs. The room has balcony and the view is simply amazing outlooking the main road and the mountain at the back. The room is in the perfect size for the two of us, the AC works well and the bathroom is spacious. The hot water also works well. And the room is spotlessly clean. Satisfaction : It is a simple yet comfortable guesthouse. We love our stay. Really suggest this to other traveller.

The owner and his family are really welcoming and helpful ! The guesthouse is really well located, view a view over the beautiful mountains of Vang Vieng! There are many options depending on your budget and what you re looking for : bungalows, ensuite rooms and rooms with shared bathroom! We had one double room with shared bathroom and the room was cosy, although is it quite small ! The fan works very well;) The view from upthere is truly beautiful ! We hope to be back there one day... Thank you again for your kindness ☺

I had booked a stay in this hotel and when I arrived, the young girls who welcomed me did not understand that I had a reservation and that I had already settled my stay. I showed them several supporting documents that did not seem to convince them, but they still gave me a room in the neighboring hotel, Jammee Guesthouse II. The room was very spacious, but not very functional and several equipments were not working (some lights, TV without any channels, wifi). I stayed 3 nights in this apartment and my room was not made once (I am not demanding but when it is written in the information about the apartment ”home every day”, The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable and it is very easy to get to the staff. I had the impression of being in a abandoned hotel, especially as some parts were in work. The hotel is very well located for the positive points, because it is far from the main street while very close to the centre, which is easy and quickly accessible by foot. However, I find that the prices of this hotel are high in view of the offered services.

The accommodation is located in the center of Vang Vieng, and you can rent a motorcycle to tour Tam Trang Cave, Blue Lagoon 1, Nam Xai Observatory, etc. You can walk to the morning market from 6 a.m. and the night market from 6 p.m. The accommodation is run by Chinese people and they are very friendly. Willing to visit again in the future
