The hostel is in a secluded area where it has its own charm. The property is beautiful and the room was clean. The common area was amazing as well. The staff was friendly and the hostel is equipped with basic facilities like washing machine, dryer, etc.

I paid 800 Rs per night for a single bed in a 4-bed room. In three nights nobody came to clean the beds and towels that were there from previous guests since who knows when. The sheets were dirty and felt used. The lockers had stuff from previous guests. The nights were really cold and the blanket provided was visibly too thin for a decent sleep. The place was nice though, very close to the Ghats, and the staff and general vibe was cool; but overall the price was too high and it really seemed like nobody cared for the general maintenance of the rooms.

Getting to the property is a Lil tricky but the place in itself is a small oasis for budget travelers right behind shivalay ghat, very neat rooms they have dorms too. Natwar lal is a very helpful manager and was sorting out my ride to the airport and stuff without any hassle. Gonna go back for sure

Super clean, quiet and a nice chill vibe. Felt very safe. Rickey was genuine, trustworthy and awesome at organising local guides at a good price. The hostel is in a supreme location, close to the Ganges and Ghats, as well as some beautiful big trees!

I stayed at HosteLaVie for a week. The hostel is clean, the staff is helpful, the common areas are nice and the roof top has a great view of the Gang3. One of the best hostels in Varanasi!
