Nice hotel in a nice place with a kind staff A marvellous garden The room was cosy and the bed very comfortable. However the breakfast could be improved with more choice and more classical jams! The environment of the swimming-pool could be improved too.

We stayed here the night before we flew out of Paris. It was charming. The staff was especially helpful. They found an antigen test for us within walking distance. We had dinner and breakfast at the excellent restaurant. Highly recommend staying here instead of a generic airport hotel. It took us approximately an hour driving time.

Beautiful hotel located in a large, quiet park. Large room with all the usual equipment for a 4 star. Excellent welcome by all the staff. Very good dinner, with several colleagues, in a pleasant setting. Free and very easy parking. What remains to be planned for the (near) future are charging stations for electric vehicles. Fortunately there is a charging point in the small public car park opposite.

What a huge disappointment. I strongly recommend that you do not trust the website, as it turns out to be completely misleading. We arrived in this superb estate, certainly undergoing renovation. The lady at reception was very friendly, but she was working alone to welcome everyone at 4 p.m., which clearly put her in an overwhelmed situation, to the point where we almost wanted to lend a hand. To get to our room, we had to move away from the beautiful home we had booked and ended up in a new building with totally cold and dreary rooms. Attached you will find photos of the supposedly “magnificent and direct access to the park” view (which was clearly not the case). Also attached are the photos of the room showing its filth. We reported the problem to the receptionist, who made us understand that this was not the first time that this remark had been made to him. In the evening, we discovered that the restaurant was privatized (which would have been nice to know when booking) and we were suggested to order via the UberEats or Deliveroo platforms for a 4-star hotel... As for upon privatization, it resulted in noise all night, loud music, and many other nuisances. So clearly you should avoid this place, as this experience is clearly light years away from what is promoted on their website. My message to management: be honest up front on your site to avoid bad experiences like this. THANKS.

I booked one night in a “Privilege” room which promised beautiful old buildings as well as a view of the garden. What a surprise when we arrived when we saw that we were sleeping in a brand new building, still under construction and that the view absolutely did not overlook the garden shown in the photos (it overlooked a courtyard barely planted). In addition, it was not possible to dine on site at the restaurant due to a private event which prevented us from sleeping due to the very loud music until after midnight (despite calls to reception) . We had chosen this hotel for a quiet, green place to spend the weekend and we came across a nightclub in the middle of construction!!! I find it shameful to put a room at such a price without the promised guarantees!

We stayed two nights at Les Demeures de Varennes, on our way back from Normandy to Lyon. The stopover was perfect, the swimming pool very pleasant and heated. The restaurant is very suitable for our girls, with space, a very warm welcome and a team attentive to all our needs! The tastefully decorated rooms, perfectly adapted to our configuration (2 young girls). Our oldest was able to exercise in the large park. Part of the place was under construction, we can't wait to come back to see the result! We highly recommend the establishment!

We had booked a weekend with my wife with breakfast and dinner and our reservation was canceled a week after our reservation by the establishment for no reason! No phone calls! Just an automated cancellation email with no apology, nothing. We called the establishment directly and they explained to us that it was a bug on the site! Big lack of professionalism!
