The location is good and the hotel is just fine. Need some renovation around the path leading to beach. Many opt for this location for ease of access to beaches, if that is not maintained it will lead to disappointment.
The SPA is not per the expectation and the maintenance of the spa is very bad. Food is above average. The buffet breakfast is fine but lacks variety for those staying longer. Overall it was a good experience. The attender at the pool Mr. Babu is very good, he should be awarded for his fine service. Overall the hotel staff are polite and well mannered and hear to our concerns.

Excellent Hotel with excellent services. The managers and staffs kept us very comfortable and most importantly accommodated to our toddlers meals during the stay. Very beautiful view as very peaceful hotel!

It was average. The main highlight was pool and the staff. Breakfast was awful very average considering it was taj's unit. The resort is big and lush. It's under renovation currently and I would say not the best of stays during our Kerala trip.

Sylvan surrounding with lot of greenery around, stay was very pleasant. Excellent service with helpful and friendly staff. Delicious food. Very nice spots to visit nearby. Hotel has a very good travel desk to hire vehicles for visiting tourist spots. Housekeeping service is excellent . Dining facilities at the restaurant and in room are very good .

We stayed here with our 7 month old baby. The hotel staff was extremely helpful with food needs of the infant and prepared baby food without any fuss. The stay was great with beautiful view of the ocean and their pool. Overall facilities are well maintained.

Awesome place with very nice location and ambience and also staff service is what a person would love to visit multiple times. Food is very nice including particularly for a Vegetarian person, like me. Would definitely visit and stay in the same property if visit Varkala any time again

Had experience to visit varkala and stay at Gateway, the overall stay was fine, the service was upto taj standards Room and property is old and it starts showing The floor are broken and cuts the feet if we walk without chappals, not expected at this level Ameneties are at minimum Not a taj level property

We stayed in Taj Varkala for 2 days. And honestly the stay was wonderful with lots of great memories . The property , the staff , the food , the hospitality everything was awesome. My husband and even my 3 year old son loved our stay in the property. I would love to visit the property again and will also recommend it to my friends and relatives. A big thanks to the staff for taking care of not only big things but the minute ones as well. They have really added icing on the cake by their polite and helpful nature. They all have made our holidays more relaxing and more comfortable.
