"I visited Maldives for the second time and took a short trip to Velassaru with my 3-year-old baby. I had another wonderful time. Hygiene: I stayed in a sand house for 2 nights. Every day, the staff would take the initiative to ask if it was cleaned. The guy cleaned very carefully. I like his work attitude. Facilities: Because of the rainy season, the wind and waves were very strong. I originally planned to experience the Japanese restaurant Teppanyaki, haha, but it was closed on Sunday night. I didn’t make an appointment at other restaurants and couldn’t eat. I could only have a buffet dinner in the main restaurant. I want to praise Velassaru’s buffet. I personally feel it is still very good. It is more suitable for my taste than the previous one in Xiya Family. Haha, I didn’t get to eat the ice cream twice a day around the island. At that time, the children were either sleeping or digging in the sand, and they didn’t give me a chance to eat at all. Environment: The lagoon is super beautiful. It rained a little before going to the island and I was worried that the whole journey would be rainy. Fortunately, it was sunny the next day, and the photos were also very good, haha. Service: The staff on the island are very enthusiastic. They will say hello and tease the children when they meet."

"The staff tried their very best to make our stay unforgettable, from the pick up at the airport to daily housekeeping and service throughout our vacation. It's easy to find the pick up at the airport and the reception is always ready to help. The villas on the sea offer an amazing view and everyday there's a new activity to do. You can book activities and restaurants via a dedicated app as well as a pick up to get around the resort. The facilities are clean and well furbished and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking at going to Maldives"

"I checked Ctrip app for months to find a suitable resort for my honeymoon, and luckily I chose SO! It's our first time to visit Maldives, yet the resort staff made everything convenient for us. Before we started the journey, the staff contacted us through email to inform us of the transport details. We were picked up at Velana International Airport by the staff members of SO. The transfer by speedboat had amazing seaviews! We enjoyed the view. It only took 15min to get to the island. On the first night, we were welcomed with delicious dessert, fruits and champagne. Drinking champagne in the spacious water villa really reminded me of romantic movie scenes. We slept well with the peaceful sound of waves. The next morning, and every morning thereafter on the island, we tried different food at The Citronella Club. The waiters are patient and nice, bringing what we needed timely. Not only the private swimming pool in each room is clear, but also the public swimming pool is clean and cozy. I enjoyed swimming there every day, despite the rain. The only pity during our vacation is the bad weather. Being unaware of the local climate, we came in the rainy season. It almost rained every day! One day the wind got so strong and overwhelming that my newly bought drone fell to the ocean. I was so sad that I cried on the beach. Our butler Khim offered help and asked the security members to search for it. Although my device wasn't found, I appreciate your kind favor. That's the best hotel service I have ever had, after years of overseas travels! And on the last day of our journey, there was a storm all day. I told the butler that I was afraid we might feel dizzy if taking a boat in such a terrible weather. She comforted me and asked a staff member to give us seasick pills. The staff sent them immediately and told us how to use. They helped us to pick and deliver the luggages, so we had nothing to worry about. The seasick pills worked and we were comfortable throughout the trip. After taking the speedboat to the airport, a staff picked our luggages and accompanied us all the way to the check-in counter. I never imagined a hotel service could be so detailed! We don't bother checking out the schedule. We just need to relax and enjoy our day! We look forward to coming again when the weather is better. "This hotel is on a small island near the city of Male. The map of this island shows Villingili, which is called Vilingmale by locals. It is the same place. The hotel is very clean and the front desk lady is very considerate. After leaving the airport, take a taxi for 6 US dollars to the pier of this island, and then buy a boat ticket for less than 1 US dollar. It takes 10-15 minutes to get to the island. After leaving the pier, walk 2 minutes to the hotel. It seems that you can also take a ferry from the airport to Male, and then take a ferry from Male to this island. But I haven't done this, I took a taxi. This island is very quiet, there are no cars parked on the roadside, but no one is driving. The movement on the island is basically electric vehicles, bicycles, and walking. There are all kinds of facilities on the island, and young people basically work in the city of Male. It is very suitable to find a quiet place and observe the life of people."

"Everything is good!!! But I think there should have a buggy service to send guests to the water bungalow which ours was really very far. We got the all inclusive and is really well included which covered my 3 meals and all time drinks! Nicely set up bday deco with request (just pay of coz). If you are not using their paid services (kayak, parasailing, water ski, massage, etc), u don’t need to waste a single cent. Food is good! 4 types; Arabic, Thai, Italian and International. If you got all inclusive you can book any of the restaurant for your meals but 1 day advance. If u didn’t book/did not get all inclusive, you can only dine at ocean restaurant which is the international buffet. As we got all inclusive, we have free flow of drinks (cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks, hot coffee/tea, spirits and wines). We drank until we had cleared what’s on the menu, we requested the bartender to recommend us or give us what they could offer (foc) and they really gave it to us! Nice experience!"
