Amazing hotel to stay in the heart of Venice - Only issue is it’s pretty noisy until 2am in the morning & heating is controlled through reception (why not directly from rooms)

Great place right next to Saint Marks square. Tiny room, as most places in Europe, but the location was everything,

The location is convenient if you need to catch a train or bus the next day, as it’s close to the station.
The room looks clean at first glance, but the carpet is dirty and there is mold in the bathroom.
The smell of the air freshener in the room is also overwhelmingly strong.
There are many other hotels near the station, so I wouldn’t say this one is the best choice.

Old World style, service and sheer class make this the ideal location in Venice IMO. Pay the small amount extra to have a view of the Basilica and Piazza out your window, plus it's right outside the hotel entrance - incredibly convenient. The concierge/desk staff made the visit even better with grace and helpful attitude. A cliche, but they truly do make one feel like family and want visitors to have their best experience possible. The breakfast was also superb but the staff, the location and the classic furnishings make this our new favorite hotel in all of Italy. Fantastico!
