Charming House DD724

The rooms at the hotel are lovely, clean, and stylish. We stayed in the suite annex (DD694), which is a short walk from the main hotel (DD724) and right on the canal, offering beautiful views from its four windows. While the bedrooms are charming, they can be a bit dark; additional lighting would be helpful, especially for tasks like shaving and showering. Occasionally, there were very minor plumbing smells, which can be typical in some European countries. Not overpowering. Upon our arrival, we had to wait for someone at reception, possibly due to our flight being delayed by a couple of hours. Daily room cleaning is provided, but it would be convenient to have a sign to indicate if you don’t want your room cleaned, as is standard in many hotels. During breakfast on our second morning, the chef was left alone, causing her understandable stress and slight irritability, and resulting in tables not being ready promptly for other guests. This issue persisted the next day even when two staff members were serving, although the wait was only around 5 minutes. Guests are asked to fill out a form specifying their preferred breakfast time and choices. We were informed we only needed to do this once, yet on subsequent mornings, there was confusion about our preferences, making the process slightly chaotic when three to four tables were occupied. Despite this, the breakfast was of high quality and tasted great. The hotel itself is lovely, with nice decor, and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep. I usually wear earplugs when traveling but found them unnecessary here. You're away from the hustle and bustle. The bed was firm and comfortable, and the air conditioning, while slightly noisy and in need of servicing, was sufficient to handle 30°C heat. Overall, I would certainly consider staying here again. For the cost, the minor details above need improvement, but it remains a charming and comfortable place to stay in Venice.

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Charming House. The service and care were excellent, lovely breakfast each morning tailored to our tastes, and our rooms suited us extremely well. In addition, we really appreciated the help we received with our airport transportation and dinner reservation needs throughout our stay. The location was very convenient for both walking and vaporetto access. We highly recommend the Charming House!

Our stay at Charming House DD724 was really fantastic - Chiara and her team are the best hosts you can imagine. Top kindness, excellent style in all the house, super clean, breakfast of exceptional quality, minibar vastly equipped. The place is super quiet and very central. Our spacious room had a spectacular view on a typical and fascinating Veniceian canal. "Art is in the air" inside and outside the house: galleries, art shops as well the Guggenheim collection are just around the corner. Beyond this you find a choice of sympathetic pubs and restaurants in the close surroundings. We felt very welcome from the first moment and found perfect comfort.

Loved our stay Silvia, Tania & lovely lady for breakfast with short hair we’re friendly & couldn’t have been more helpful. Really appreciated the lounge upstairs to sit in when as we arrived very early it was raining outside was nice to be able to relax for a bit, Appreciated Silvia getting our room ready early as we arrived so early from our ship. Silvia’s help walking us to water taxi for day trip to Murano & Tania helping with our suitcases to water taxi for airport to ensure we met our driver in correct location. We loved the location it was away from the crowds of Saint Marco but close enough to walk everywhere. Our room was really lovely, only feedback would be some additional lighting esp in bathroom. Would def recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a warm & genuine experience in Venice.

DD724 is Venice’s top quality boutique hotel secret. 10 out of 5 stars. We are grateful to all of the DD724 staff for this wonderful experience. We will return in a heartbeat! DD724 has the most wonderfully inviting atmosphere. It was a perfect space to relax after long days of galleries and museums. The staff are equally as brilliant. Tania, Silvia, and all staff are lovely, helpful, friendly, and kind. It was amazing to be located so close to Peggy Guggenheim. Staff were professional, thoughtful, knowledgeable and welcoming. The room was apartment size, the interior design exquisite. The hotel’s contemporary interior transformations, the safe, quiet, non-tourist location, and lovely breakfast, all made for the delicious alchemy of our escape to Venice. There was great water pressure, perfect sized bathroom and bedroom. Ideal lighting and ambiance in each room with two additional spaces to work from upstairs. DD724 was a place for us to cherish and reflect on the exquisite culture of beautiful Venice. An unforgettable experience. Amanda :)

This is absolutely the perfect place to stay in Venice - great location, wonderful room, delicious breakfast, loved the attention to detail everywhere and very hospitable, knowledgeable and helpful team. We loved it. Highly recommended!
