Sparkling Hill Resort and Spa - Adults-Only Resort

Great resort, couldnt get a spa date booked and was disappointed in that but overall great hotel

I visited Sparkling Hills with a friend this week. The resort itself is beautiful. The property is picturesque and the pools/steam rooms are what dreams are made of. However, what they have in amenities, they lack in service. It is near impossible to get a hold of the front desk (calling to make a reservation and also while staying there). The front end staff at the spa were also incredibly rude and impatient. It seemed like we were an inconvenience for booking treatments. We weren’t given any direction on where to go or which appointment came first, and when I walked back to inquire, I was ignored by the employee while she tried to sell product to another customer. I was so thankful for the hairstylist, who took the time to help us and to make it a better experience. Lastly, on our way out of the resort, we decided to pick up some product from the spa. We were promptly scolded for not wearing our robes and told we couldn’t be in there. When I told the staff member, we wanted to buy product, she didn’t help, and proceeded to walk away. Comparing it to other resorts and luxury hotels, it felt really disappointing. I hope they can improve upon this area to make it a more pleasant experience for their visitors.

The setting is jaw dropping: on top of a hill overlooking Okanagan Lake. Breathtaking! The restaurant is vast and aerated, with a gas fireplace. The service was excellent, just a bit too fast for us (we like slow food) so we ajusted and ordered just the starter, and then ordering the main course when we had finished our « entrée ». The food was excellent especially the tuna tartare, the Louisiana style prawns, the trout, the seafood pasta. The steak was very good but unfortunately a little overcooked. The wine list was well selected wil lots of options by the glass of better than average canadian wines.

Everything was wonderful. Great rooms, great food, great saunas! We were very happy with everything, including all the happy and friendly staff that helped us with anything we needed. We went for a few hikes around the property as well. Thanks for a great stay!

Don’t order the Eggs Benedict they were served ice cold. and the service at the Baroque Bar was absolutely horrible. We have been here many times and things aren’t as good as they used to be. Went the the Baroque bar and ordered a drink. Finished that drink and my wife then joined me. Sat there for 10 minutes, 4 other people in the place and 3 servers, never was asked if we wanted anything else so we left. $18.00 for a Caesar, and all drinks seemed to start at that price. Beer was more reasonable, but still started at $9.

Amazing relaxing two night stay with great food, service in all departments. Steam rooms are fabulous but would like to see them open earlier than 2 pm; pool could be a bit warmer to make soaking more enjoyable like a mineral spa temperature.
