The Kentucky Castle

One of the most unique properties we’ve ever visited. Beautiful setting, great views, friendly people, great service. The Castle has a wonderful small bar and lounge, great selection of wines and spirits, perfect for a gathering of old friends. Very nice restaurant, our room was huge, clean and comfortable with a balcony just outside our door. Parking at the front of the property is a bit tight, much more room at the rear. A definite “do again” kind of place.

Kentucky Castle was on my wife’s bucket list of places to visit and it did not disappoint! Really cool place to stay, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, food is fantastic! We stayed in a tower suite and loved it, definitely plan to return. Lots to do in Lexington and the Castle is a great place to stay!

We stayed here for our 15th Anniversary and this place did NOT disappoint. Everything was perfect! From the food to the comfy bed. We will definitely be back!

We stayed one night at The Kentucky Castle for a weekend getaway in Lexington and it was FANTASTIC. The staff was amazing and you could tell that they were invested in the castle and loved their job and working together. At check-in the front desk staff, Storm, was incredible and he took the time to explain all the castle had to offer for the guests and answered our questions throughout our stay. We originally booked one of the Tiny Houses, but they were having unexpectedly cold, single-digit temps during our stay, so the staff had to change our booking to a room in the castle because of the extreme cold, and they upgraded us to the Executive Terrace Suite for free. The staff was amazingly receptive and responsive leading up to our stay. They reached out to us several days before to see how they could customize our stay, and were extremely responsive to any questions we had in the days before our check-in. We ordered the chocolate covered strawberries to be in our room upon arrival and they were DELICIOUS! Other reviews have mentioned that the walls are thin and you can hear traffic from the lobby, staff and restaurant, while I could see how if might bother some guests, we did not notice an unreasonable amount of noise AND our room had a very nice white-noise machine provided at bedside so we slept very well. We forgot the bartender's name but he was AMAZING. He took the time to talk with us and provide local recommendations for other places to eat and visit and also shared the story behind the owner of the castle's bourbon company, True Story. You could tell he loved his job and was so personable. We did not have time to tour the grounds but both of us said we would 1000% stay here in the future and will make sure to tour the grounds and castle when we return. Clean. Beautiful. Great staff.

This was not my first time to The Kentucky Castle, but it was my first overnight stay. It was SO NICE. My husband and I stayed to celebrate my birthday. The room was nice and surprisingly quiet. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and they were both delicious (and I got a birthday dessert both meals). There was snow on the ground, but we walked out to the barn to see the animals. There were a couple of horses, a donkey, several goats and some llamas. I also had a very nice massage at the spa. Everyone was attentive and it was the best weekend!

We had a great time ! It was secluded but close to things to do. Only complaint would be the shower head sims at the wall. The staff was great. They should give the bartender Jordan a raise !! He was phenomenal and great to talk with. Only think I would recommend would be to add in an inclusivity package to include some extras at the property. But otherwise was great would recommend to anyone.
