We spent 2 nights at Hotel Stella d'Italia, I booked a 3 stars hotel knowing I couldn't expect a luxury environment but, despite an average general evaluation, I cannot avoid to underline some very disappointing details: 1) the sink in the bathroom was badly cracked (see photos); 2) the air conditioning was extremely noisy (one night I woke up looking in the street thinking some works were in progress; 3) in the shower box there are no place for soap and shampoo, I ended up putting them on the floor and bending every time I needed them, quite uncomfortable; 4) in the bathroom there are no hooks or other way to hang the wet towels. These points are quite basic and should be available even at 3 stars hotels (or less).

Conveniently located hotel with friendly staff, ideal for young families. It has a 24 hour reception which is useful and our room was well cleaned daily. Would recommend if wanting easy access to the beach as it’s midway between all the bagnos and restaurants etc on the promenade and elsewhere.

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend, old structure and in the process of modernization, small but clean rooms. Convenient location near the promenade. There are paid parking lots in the area (as in the whole city). Good breakfast. Good quality/price ratio.

I was during the carnival week, with my daughter and my dog, I found this hotel free and I didn't hesitate to book, I must say that it largely met my expectations, excellent location 200 meters from the promenade where the carnival took place , large room and excellent cleanliness, the reception staff were very kind and knowledgeable and I don't forget the super breakfasts prepared by Maria with kindness and courtesy, I highly recommend it and I believe that at the next Carnival I will not hesitate to book. We were there for the Carnival procession on 03 February 2024. The hotel has an ideal location to attend the Carnival, in fact it is located about 200 meters from the seafront. The rooms are always tidy and clean. Friendly and professional staff. Abundant and delicious breakfast.

We had a very good time, the room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent, with sweet and savory options. The only flaw is that the structure is very dated and needs to be renovated. Really very friendly and helpful staff, I recommend it.

Excellent location, excellent organization for parking and beach. Friendly and nice staff, especially with children. Excellent cleaning. As for the cuisine, honestly, the best I've ever been to. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

Structure a little dated, not corresponding to the photographs seen on booking. Not properly renovated, for example peeling walls, rusty handles, unpainted elevator, unpainted railings, ruined leather sofas. Breakfast a bit poor. Excellent cleanliness and also very friendly and helpful staff. I advise against it because for the same price and stars, there are much nicer hotels in Viareggio.
