we didn't like it. the windows of our room faced a factory or enterprise that was making noise all night. there was very little choice for breakfast. the sink is leaking. and at night someone was jumping "on the head", everything could be heard

This hotel was more like hostel or bed & breakfast thing than hotel. There weren’t any customer service. Breakfast ran out in the morning. The waitress told us that ”all other customers have eaten all food”. Towels were meant for faces. We got towels for shower in the last evening. In the triple room the third bed was bad couch. There was something in the middle of the bed that disturbed sleeping. Only sheets were nice. That was very noisy room because we heard noisy steps in the upstairs.

The Hotel Vila Katrca is a good value for staying in Ljubjana. It is about a 20 minute walk to Triple Bridge. It has almost a hostel like feel to the hotel. While it was a good value it was definitely not a luxury. The first thing we noticed was a slight smell of cigarette smoke when we entered the room. This lingered our whole stay. We had a queen bed and a pullout sofa for our family of 4 adults. This was sufficient. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very flat. The room was clean spacious. The bathroom was small. The hotel employees and owners were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. We went to the wrong hotel and they helped up get to the correct one easily. There is only someone at the hotel in the mornings for breakfast. You must get a key out of a lock box for your room, they email this information to you. Breakfast was nice: hard boiled eggs, pastries, meat and cheese, bread and rolls, jam and honey, tomatoes, capers, etc. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and there is free parking. This was our second visit to Ljubjana, we would stay here again, but if it is your first visit I would suggest some place closer to the city center. If you do not have a car and parking is not an issue there are plenty of places near the town center, but be aware they are expensive. With a car parking is an issue, the Hotel Vila Katrca was a good compromise.

Buongiorno premetto che viaggiamo molto e la tipologia di hotel in cui soggiorniamo è di questa categoria. Siamo stati 4 giorni ma più che un hotel direi un b&b... La colazione è praticamente in cantina e i prodotti della parte dolce sono torte confezionate dei 3 balconi... Ed è scarsa per il resto... Arrivati abbiamo segnalato che mancava il letto matrimoniale...e la signora gentilmente ci ha detto che avrebbe provveduto alla sostituzione ....ma la soluzione è stata sovrapporre i due materassi e mettere un coprimaterasso matrimoniale (erano 2 letti singoli con tanto di bordo su quattro lati quindi sovrapponendoli sembrava di essere in montagna!)... ... La pulizia è scarsa... Una passata al bagno e una piegata ai piumini ( che ad agosto direi eccessivi... Un lenzuolo bastava!), un tappeto che da un bel po' non viene pulito, sotto il letto no comment....e nel bagno capelli e polvere negli angoli di qualche settimana... Il lampadario aveva una sola lampadina su 3... Glielo abbiamo detto ma nulla.... La cassetta di sicurezza aveva le batterie scariche.... quindi non funzionante.... La struttura è bella e ristrutturata di recente ma manca la qualità dei servizi... Non esiste una reception all' arrivo.. la chiave è in una scatola con una combinazione di numeri da inserire che viene fornita via mail..si vede solo la signora della colazione a cui riferire eventuali richieste e poi nessuno tutto il giorno o la sera.. La posizione della struttura è abbastanza buona per il centro perché ben servita dal bus che passa ogni mezz'ora e in 10 minuti si è in centro di Lubiana. Il wifi è buono ed ha una buona connessione. Le stanze hanno l' aria condizionata. Ha un bel pareggio. Manca il bidet.È la prima volta che faccio una recensione simile e mi spiace... Però qualche mancanza ci può stare... Ma così direi che qualcosa è da rivedere...

Ottima soluzione ad un paio di chilometri dal centro di Lubiana, e vicinissima allo splendido parco Tivoli. La chiave di accesso alla stanza è in una cassetta con codice, all'esterno dell'ingresso principale, l'hotel è molto più simile ad un B&B ma è veramente molto grazioso ed arredato con gusto sia nelle camere che nelle zone comuni, la camera per 4 persone era molto spaziosa, e completa di tutto il necessario, sufficienti prese per la corrente, aria condizionata, TV, c'erano anche un bollitore con tisane, una scarpiera ed un balconcino che affaccia sul parcheggio della struttura e sulla via principale, la pulizia della stanza e del bagno mi sono sembrate nella norma, anche se mi è capitato di recuperare un calzino da sotto il letto che aveva "raccolto" parecchia polvere. Purtroppo il bagno è sprovvisto di bidet, e la biancheria fornita è un po' troppo piccola, le salviette per la doccia avevano le dimensioni di quelle per il viso, il bagno è dotato di asciugacapelli. La biancheria da letto è decisamente poco indicata per il periodo... Il piumino ad agosto con 35 gradi è davvero eccessivo anche dormendoci sopra. Colazione internazionale abbastanza ricca, sia dolce che salata e di buona qualità. Ottimo il parcheggio all'interno della struttura. Complessivamente un buon rapporto qualità prezzo.
