Amazing hotel, tasty meals in the restaurant, large clean rooms with tall windows.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The rooms were big and clean and there was a lovely pool to relax in after you had your tours. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They booked all our trips that we needed and organised taxi for us. The lookout tower is great to see the sunset

Amazing hospitality, great and spacey rooms. Clean. Free wifi all over. Nice bar, good diner menu. Nicely located in Victoria Falls with loads of activities to do, zip line, bike trip, helicopter flight over the falls. Great place to either start or finish (as did we) your safari …

We stayed here for the final 2 nights of a 16 day safari, and it was the perfect way to end our trip. After days of sleeping in a tent, we were treated to plush beds, a hot rain shower with great water pressure, delicious (and adorable) food and drinks, and out of this world customer service. There was also a giant bath tub in the room, although we didn’t end up using it. A huge thank you up top to Thandeka, who works at the front desk. Say hi to her from Will and Laura if you visit. I hadn’t known that I would be proposing to my [now] fiancée until we were sitting at the hotel restaurant on our first evening there. The ambiance from the entry way to the room itself was incredibly relaxing, which is exactly what we needed. After I made the decision, one of the restaurant staff covertly gave me Thandeka’s personal (!) cell phone number to make the arrangements. After I texted her what I was hoping to do, Thandeka absolutely ran with it, creating a moment I never could have (and managed to keep it a secret from my significant other, which was incredibly difficult). The details are below, but basically I cannot recommend this place enough, primarily due to the legendary hotel staff. TLDR; Thandeka arranged for us to have a sunset cruise with Zambezi Vista, which came with a four course meal, an open bar, and more incredible customer service. On board, the captain (his name is Evidence) acted as the ultimate wingman, separating my fiancée and me long enough to give me flowers (also arranged by Thandeka), set up a cake, and get the champagne ready. He also filmed our moment. Once we got back to the hotel, Thandeka had arranged for another bottle of champagne in our room, more flowers, and a hand written note of congratulations.

Shongwe Lookout is a fantastic spot with so much to offer! The food was absolutely delicious, and the waitress (I’m so sorry I forgot her name) was amazing—attentive, friendly, and truly made the experience special. I have to say, this place made me fall in love with prawns! They prepared them perfectly—flavorful, juicy, and just right. The salad was equally impressive—fresh, crisp, and a great complement to the meal. The setting is also worth mentioning: it’s beautifully done, very clean, and creates a lovely, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your meal. I’ll definitely be returning to Shongwe Lookout whenever I’m in the area. Highly recommended!
