Absolutely DO NOT STAY HERE! This unit is not safe and the host is extremely unprofessional. The host demonstrated a shocking lack of respect for guest safety by leaving a spare key outside of the apartment, unsecured, without our knowledge, which led to a serious breach of security. A houseless person found that key, entered our unit, rummaged through our things, and stole our belongings. We were lucky to not be there at the time, but the fact that this could happen in the first place is utterly unacceptable. What’s even worse is the host’s appalling response after the incident. They were completely unhelpful - we had to contact and correspond with the police following the break in, and the host provided no support. We haven’t received a refund for our stay or any compensation for the stolen items. It’s clear this host doesn’t care about their guests or their wellbeing. Avoid this place at all costs!

I note that previous reviews on this site are quite dated and reference people who do not appear to be currently associated with the property. While I would love to save this place for myself, in fairness to the owner and to ensure the success of the establishment, I have to say that we had a wonderful weekend stay. Holly is either owner or manager and was very communicative and accommodating. This is a self check in and check out via a lock box and there is no breakfast/dining. Our unit, on the top floor, had a very well equipped kitchen, although we dined out. Lots of breakfast choices within walking distance or you can make your own in the room. Manor is located on a very quiet street in a leafy neighborhood. Sleep with windows open and awoke to seagulls and birdsong. Despite being a heritage home, many of the fixtures were modern. Shower was incredible and mattress was excellent. A/C if required and smart TV with Netflix. We didn’t hear our neighbours. I suspect people who stay here are the type who will be respectful and appreciate that sound can travel in an older home.
