We stayed two nights at this bed and breakfast. It felt very homey, and relaxing. The place is well maintained and beautiful. The breakfast provided was excellent. The owners go the extra mile to ensure that guests' needs are met and attended to. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Vicuña is a picturesque town located 40 miles west of La Serena in the Elqui Valley. The amazing blue sky, dry air, and surrounding mountains provide a uniquely peaceful, restful, and unforgettable experience. From Vicuña one can drive along the Elqui valley visiting dozens of quaint towns. We definitely want to go back for a longer stay.

This inn is absolutely fantastic. The home was built at the beginning of the 1800's by one of the families that helped to develop Vicuna and La Serena. It is a traditional Spanish Colonial with an incredible garden. The room (#2) was quite large and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is en-suite, and there is a heater in the room. We did not have any trouble with water pressure or having hot water. Room was very clean and fresh, fluffy, towels were provided. If you have Dollars, Euro, or Pounds, the owner will take these and not charge the 19% Chilean Value Added Tax. It saved us a bit of money. You will have to provide a passport and immigration form for them to photocopy. The property has been immaculately restored to the original condition, despite some earthquake damage. It is still owned and maintained by the family that built it. The owner (wife Mitzi) speaks excellent English and has a lot of information about the surrounding area. Her daughters and nieces also speak excellent English and are fantastic to talk to. The front of the house doubles as a museum, but does not have tons of foot traffic due to some ongoing repairs. We did not have any trouble with road noise. Breakfast is substantial and seasonal. We had lovely fresh fruit with bread, cheese, and avocado from their garden.

Nicest boutique hotel, with a family approach that makes you feel very welcomed. Very clean and comfortable bedroom and if you want a different pillow, they gave me three to choose from! Nice lounging areas and a pool. The included breakfast is served at your table and with great choices to pick from. We tried several restaurants in town and always went back to theirs, they have great food. I have travelled throughout many countries and this gem is one I would definitely go back to!!

Stayed here with friends and was blown away by how amazing it was. The hotel grounds, pool and the rooms and beautiful. Everything was clean, modern and stylish. The staff were excellent - incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We ate at the restaurant twice, and the food was delicious - get the tuna! Honestly cannot recommend enough. Such a wonderful place.

The staff here are wonderful. Friendly and very courteous. Diego is a super host and very helpful.The food is great and so are the Pisco sours. There is a pool in a garden setting where you can relax and make new friends. Not to mention the stunning Elqui valley and fabulous night sky.

Lovely lovely hotel in a lovely town. Incredibly helpful staff who go to a lot of trouble to help - even organising a reasonably priced laundry service. Beautiful garden with comfortable loungers and small pool. Very well placed for wandering around town or driving out up the valley. Free street parking which they’ve assured us is safe, and seems to be. Great food and drink although go for the espresso coffee at breakfast. Would definitely book here again.

An oasis of comfort, charm and hospitality in the lovely small town of Vicuña. The staff is attentive and gracious, the restaurant Aloe superb, and the room is spacious, comfortable, clean and relaxing. Reading in the courtyard during the heat of the day was restful. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful restaurant to eat traditional food with a gourmet touch. The 'ostiones con queso' and 'el caldito de congrio' were amazing. The food is delicious and of quality! and Juan, the waiter, very nice and helpful. We definitely will come back again. Thank you!
