Vidago Palace Hotel is very easy to access by expressways. The service is impeccable, and the rooms are large and well-renovated. The hotel has a beautiful balcony and pretty gardens.
The dinner there had a good choice of food, and the wine list is pretty extensive, and expensive.
Worth a visit even if is not cheap for Portuguse standars.

Very nice hotel, quiet. The breakfast is varied but the dinner table leaves something to be desired. Expensive for what it is, not worthy of a so-called great chef's restaurant....

First and foremost the place is wonderful. It’s so high maintenance. The staff are so welcoming and polite. The food is delicious exactly you couldn’t ask more. Definitely It’s a dreaming come true. Highly recommended. Also the room was so nice and clean.

Beautifully restored old historic palace. Great staff. Beautiful grounds. Breakfast was excellent in a well decorated room. Cool grand staircase in the lobby. Very nice and inviting outside bar/cafe area overlooking the gardens. Short walk to the small village.
