K+T Boardinghouse

I arrived in Vienna early in the morning so I reserved a room for that day and 2 more nights. That way I could take a nap and start adjusting to the new time zone. The taxi driver dropped me off at the bus stop on Schadekgasse and it took me a few minutes wandering around looking for the entrance which is on a side street, Chwallagasse. The room was exactly what I needed. Everything was clean and the room temperature was just right. The bathroom was on the small side and not much room to store toiletries. I was glad I brought my own soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. Same as the next hotel I was at. Don't expect European hotels to have a bunch of amenities. There's a grocery store half a block away and all sorts of other shops and restaurants close by for whatever you may need. The room was totally quiet - I never heard exterior noise. The price per night was a great value compared to more centrally-located hotels. It took me 20-30 minutes to walk to the center city and I took different paths to see more of the city. Google Maps works well for walkers and for public transportation. If you don't want to walk, just hop on a bus.

We had a wonderful short stay in Vienna. Our host Tina was amazing as she explained the area in detail including transportation to all our favourite destinations and delightful restaurant experiences. The area is very walkable and close to great restaurants and shopping. Very easy to get on the train just steps from the apartment and head to any destination in the city centre. When my husband fell ill, Tina provided us with the information to access a great private medical clinic not far away. We also were able to leave extra baggage as we travelled to Salzburg for a weekend. Thanks Tina for everything!!

Friendly and very helpful host. Tina was brilliant at making us feel at home and recommending places to visit. The room was quite large, clean, and tidy. Location was excellent, very near to high street and local transit links such as the underground rail and bus network. We felt very safe walking late at night in the area. Nothing serious, only slight inconveniences that didnt take away from enjoying our stay. The room was a little warm at first, but the host was happy to turn the heating down when asked. The shower-head holder/wall fixture is a bit too low for comfort if you are above average height, but the shower head itself is moveable.

We recommend that property because it's great location, very clean and comfortable. But most important the owner Tina. I had small medical emergency and she help me to find a doctor right away and get medication! I am so grateful for that. It's close to to everything, restaurant, shopping & metro.

Beautiful apartment in the best place. I loved this place. The room was beautiful, the location is amazing. I would recommend everyone to choose this place if you wanna stay in Vienna because it is worth it. The price of the apartment is good as well.

Room is convenient, spacious with high ceiling, very clean, quiet. Bedding is confortable. Good location near a big shopping street. You can have breakfast in the neighborhood. Few distance walking from downtown. Owner is very friendly and flexible.
