1. The front desk service of the hotel is warm and thoughtful, and all the problems raised are solved attentively. Although the hotel is a little far from the airport, hotel pick-up and drop-off is very convenient. The surrounding area near the Arc de Triomphe is full of Southeast Asian style. The overall environment is warm and quiet, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Will choose next time.

This is a hotel I am satisfied with. I saw that the elevator is being installed. The Lao people are very enthusiastic and will help patiently. I hope it gets better and better. Sincerely recommend!

Moved from continental plaza to Ji hotel for our last night in Vientiane. The hotel is especially for Chinese tourist… it’s good and not good… based in old Chinatown, the hotel is on the 6st floor of a building. Inside it’s very nice, quite new, and service was nice. Then come the morning and the included breakfast… only Chinese food combination… not really choices… no coffee, no orange juice or else, only a cup of milk… some porridges and Chinese rice rolls or buns and eggs, these kind of combination… not attractive at all… to eat the breakfast you have to go to 1st floor and walk outside to a partnered restaurant who will serve you a choice of 5 Chinese combinations food. Workers of the hotel are nice but don’t speak English only Chinese… have a rooftop swimming pool and a gym but exposed to sunshine so it was too hot to swim or to gym 🤭.

Clean and spacious rooms
Parking facility was at back of hotel - staff very helpful
Check in was seamless and easy - was a hot day and we were given a lovely cold tea
The White Elephant restaurant - food, drinks and staff were grean
The Tipsy Elephant staff were great as were our cocktails
The breakfast has a good range of food - hot coffee and nice selection of teas and juices. Staff were attentive
A good choice in the middle of everything
We had a very pleasant stay, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals we had at the hotel were excellent. Also the location is great, close to the Mekong River (safe to walk or run along the river) and the Night Market.
Locals refer to this hotel as ‘the Chinese hotel’, and it is very Chinese. The reception staff don’t speak English but are fluent in Chinese. Room deposits can be paid in RMB. The Buffett breakfast is excellent, the pool are other facilities are good too. The rooms are clean (see photos). Conveniently located for the airport, local area is okay but not brilliant.
The hotel is amazing! It is beautiful and the service is impeccable. The outdoor area is very green and gives a classic Lao feeling. I highly recommend!
The environment is great. It's a pleasure to stay in the hotel without going out. The service is very good. The rooms are large and fully equipped. It's a great hotel in Vientiane and worth recommending.

ゲゲッツーロボVery nice hotel. A small swimming pool, nice room, but above all VERY friendly and nice staff! Never met such a good hotel staff! The people are just so nice and friendly! Only thing to be desired is that there are too many mosquitoes here, I got bit 10 times. Note: it's 40~70 US dollars at the spot so sometimes it's cheaper than online.
GGuest UserI arrived Vientiane by train. There were two buses picking up passengers opposite the front of the station. One was a minibus going to the night market (30k kips) and the other was a public bus going to Vientiane Central Bus Station (25k kips). The minbus going to the night market was full so I took the one going to the Central Bus Station. On checking Google maps, the one going to the night market is the correct transportation to take.
It was close to 9pm when I arrived at the bus station. Note that the reception closes at 10pm. I took a tuk tuk at 50k kips (bargained from 100 kips). The fare was 30k kips when I took a car from the hostel back to the Bus Station to catch Bus 12 to Vientiane (Khamsavath) train station. Do note that this is a different train station from the station I'd arrived from. That station is used by the Laos-China train, while Khamsavath station is used by the Laos-Thai train.
The above described the location of the hostel in relation to the train stations and Central Bus Station.
As for the 3rd floor room (was it 2nd?? well, it was at the highest floor) that I was assigned, there is space enough for 6 beds (3 double deckers). My beddings were spotlessly clean. The aircon worked perfectly. The staff who had checked me in helped with my luggage, which was much appreciated. He pointed out to me the facilities too.
The bathroom cubicles and toilets are on the ground floor. They are clean. The bathroom cubicle i had used were without showergel/soap or shampoo. I did not check the other cubicles.
The common area is behind the reception on the groundfloor. It is air-conditioned and has comfortable seats. There is a water dispenser which dispenses cold water. Again, much appreciated.
In a folder on a desk opposite the reception desk contains information on transportation, fares and public bus schedules. Most useful!
The owner (i assumed he is) had kindly helped me call a car to the central station. He went out in the heat to look out for the car and bode me farewell. It is personal touches like this that warms the heart.
Yes, it is a hostel I would recommend. The 2 attached pictures were information displayed on the walls of the common area which i found useful.
AAnonymous UserGood value for the price paid, reception staff is friendly, and the quality of the set menu for breakfast was great. The main attractions are very close to the hotel. The only downside is that the noise insulation is poor. If you are a light sleeper, then this aspect must be considered.

GGuest UserRel. new hotel with modern, clean yet very small rooms and tiny bathrooms with a sliding door only a few cm away from the bed (hence very little privacy).Hardly any space to place your suitcase. Ok for a short time for one person but really very very tight for 2. Big modern safety box. Some rooms have balcony. Unfortunately zero noise isolation nor towards other rooms neither to the noise from outside. Some rooms have connecting doors which is even worse - just two thin wooden doors hence you can hear your neighbour breath or whatrver remarkable other sounds they produce in their rooms and bathrooms. Many chinese tourists. No pool nor gym. Nice little rooftop with a few chairs, tables and 2 sunchairs but no bar there. Breakfast is a small buffet with some asian and basic western food. Very friendly staff. Centrally located with many restaurants and shops around and the night market and river in easy walking distance.

WWorld travelersOur go to hotel! Close to everything we need that is walking distance. The breakfast is always great. The price has gone up a little, but the value for the price is still there. Will book again.
KKurzaWe had many difficulties at this hotel.
What was good: the rooms were clean, despite many negative comments regarding cleanliness. We had all necessary things in the bathroom, hot water, etc. The aircon in the room worked fine and the beds were comfortable to sleep on.
Breakfast is quite average and not much food for Western people. There are some things to eat such as fruits, yogurt, cereal, eggs but everything else are Asian food.
What was bad:
- Check-in was an absolute mess. The reception area looks like a ghost town with only one person checking in guests on a Saturday. We waited very long to be helped.
Finally, after long waiting time we reach the room to see that someone else already occupies the room. Due to a severe lack of English from the receptionist, we explained there is someone staying in the room and that we need a different room. He nodded that he understood and typed on his computer, scan a new room key but gave the same room number three times. So three times we had to explain that we need a COMPLETE DIFFERENT ROOM since there are already guests inside. This took very long. We got a new room finally but it was a twin room and not the type of room we booked.
- No sound proof walls, we can hear our neighbor coughing in his room at night
- The gym is not functional at all. So many broken machines that we were not able to use the gym during our stay. There is also no air conditioner in the gym even for when it’s maintained better.
- The elevator buttons are not working properly, the button to close the elevator door doesn’t work at all.
Generally this hotel has the potential to be much better. Management seriously needs to improve these shortcomings.

GGuest UserIt’s a great bang for your buck this hotel is! Communication is a breeze, and the free airport pickup and transfer to the railway station are just fantastic perks. I messaged them for a pickup as I landed super early, around 7:30 am, and guess what? The driver was already there waiting for me. Talk about service!
The room was spotless and really cozy—I slept like a baby during my stay. Since the hotel is pretty new, they’re still getting things up and running. For example, the free breakfast ran out quickly because of a big tour group. But no worries, Manager Chan was on it! He quickly whipped up some dumplings for the individual guests like me. How awesome is that?
The front desk staff might struggle a bit with English or Chinese, but they’re super eager to help. Google Translate can be a lifesaver here. The driver, on the other hand, speaks fluent Chinese. He even offered his WeChat, so you can chat with him in Mandarin easily.
One of my favorite spots was the lobby. Manager Chen often makes tea for himself and invites guests to join in. He’s so friendly and generous with his time. I learned so much about Laos and its culture just by chatting with him.
The only downside is that the hotel is a bit out of the city center and since it’s new, Google Maps isn’t quite up to date. This can make it a bit tricky for ride-hailing apps to find the place.
A few little extras like a hair dryer, a city map, and some tour information would be great additions for travelers. But overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay!

MMichaelWhen we booked this hotel, we were excited by the pictures shown online. The reality is a little bit different. The lobby looks nice and you can tell it was probably a really nice hotel when it was first built… but there are so many issues in the room, mainly from poor construction / materials used. The biggest downside was the view (see picture).
GGuest UserGenerally speaking, it's ok. Any problems can be corrected in time. But on the first day of check-in, I asked the front desk guy to simply clean the room, but he didn't give me water or take out the garbage. Later, I asked their waiter to go in the next day, and he was so sick that he vomited. The garbage was sour. Don't ask for too much. Hotels are basically like this. Is the food ok?
GGuest UserI recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which offered a variety of delicious options to start the day off right. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable stay
