The hotel has exceeded my expectations. The staff were really kind and helpful. The room was big, cozy, and had a great view. Breakfast was simple but good. They also had a sauna and spa, which was really nice. I would definitely recommend it!

The hotel has a wonderful location, the rooms are fine and there is a great jacuzzi overlooking the lake. But it’s badly let down by really low levels of service. No table service in the restaurant but no notice saying you have to order at the bar (which is out of sight anyway). Such a pity as the food is good once you get it. Our third stay but probably our last.

The view from the lobby was beautiful, see the lake. This hotel is what you would call a motel in the states. It has a new section and a very old section, of course we were placed in the old section. Although, the hotel was empty our room was not ready, but the people who arrived on the same train as us had a room ready. It is so old you don't have a key card you have an actual key. Remember to lock your door before leaving your room it does not lock atutomatically. Since it was very hot we needed a fan in the room (no AC) luckly Karida at the front desk found one for us.

Wenn man mit der Bahn in Vilhelmina anreist, muss man zum Hotel Wilhelmina einen kleinen Fußmarsch, bergauf, in Kauf nehmen. Bei gutem Wetter kein Problem, bei Regen wäre ein Shuttlebus angebracht. Das Hotel Wilhelmina ist sicher nicht das neueste, aber ich hatte ein ordentliches Zimmer erwischt, das auch sauber war. Die Aussicht über den See war hervorragend. Ein Nachteil war, dass der Spa Bereich schon sehr früh am Abend schließt. Das Restaurant hat eine sehr schöne Außenterrasse, mit herrlicher Aussicht. Leider ist nicht ersichtlich, dass das Restaurant selv service Betrieb ist. Für mich eigentlich kein Problem, es muss nur bekannt sein. Das Abräumen der Tische ist durch Personal geregelt, was jedoch nur sehr schleppend geht. Es kann durchaus sein, dass freie Tische noch durch schmutziges Geschirr belegt sind. Die Nacht war sehr ruhig und nicht durch Verkehrslärm gestört. Gepunktet hat das Hotel nochmal dadurch, dass ich mein Zimmer bis spätnachmittags behalten durfte. Meine Abreise war erst gegen 17 Uhr. Natürlich erhielt ich diese Vergünstigung nur auf Nachfrage. Aber

Das war der absolute Tiefpunkt auf unserer Schwedenrundreise: das teuerste Hotel und das absolut mieseste. Positiv zu vermerken ist ledeglich die sehr schöne Lage an einem See und die Freundlichkeit des Personals beim checkin. Es ist aber schon merkwürdig, dass ein 4-Sterne-Hotel für einen late checkin 200 sek zusätzlich nimmt. Die Zimmer haben sicher seit 20 Jahren keinen Maler gesehen. Überall sind in den Wänden alte Dübel, die nicht mehr benötigt werden, außerdem umfangreiche Silikonspuren von älteren Möbeln. Die Fenster haben nur noch geringe Farbspuren. Die Sauberkeit war leidlich. Das WLAN ist ziemlich schwach, was aber evtl. daran liegen könnte, dass wir im vorletzten Zimmer auf dem Gang wohnten. Nach einem Stromausfall am Abend (für den das Hotel nichts kann) war es aber auch danach nicht mehr nutzbar (offensichtlich war das Personal bereits zu Hause). Beim Frühstück setzte sich der schlechte Gesamteindruck fort: Total befleckte Sessel und ein Buffet, bei dem das was alle war halt alle war. Nachgelegt wurde nichts. Nach zweimaliger Nachfrage gab es wenigstens noch Butter. Dieses Hotel steht im krassen Widerspruch zu unseren gesamten, sehr positiven Erfahrungen mit schwedischen Hotels. Wir werden um dieses Hotel künftig jedoch einen großen Bogen machen.
