This was a true gem of a find. The accommodation is difficult to find. Don’t rely upon the Google maps entry because this will take you to an AirB&B run by the same owners that is only a short distance away by foot, but a long way away by road due to the one way system. The hotel is in a building full of character located in a quiet area behind the church. There are great views over the mountains towards the sea. The rooms are on the ground floor and first floor and are extremely comfortable with lots of nice touches - plenty of wood and period features. There is parking available on the road nearby. Breakfast is taken either in the garden or on a terrace on the top floor. You can eat a 3 course dinner at the hotel, no choice, but the food was excellent on both nights, and the price, including wine was extremely reasonable. There is an enormous jacuzzi/swim spa at the property that is great fun! There are only a few rooms so it is never busy and the owner is always about and attentive with a constant cheerful smile. We would be very happy to return!

We really liked this charming guest house, isolated in a quiet area but not far from Ile Rousse. Valérie takes great care of her guests.. a delicious table d'hôtes in the evening.. the very pretty room a very beautiful bathroom with a pretty private terrace.. And for relaxation a superb jacuzzi.. thank you Valérie for these 3 days

An old building tastefully restored. A wonderful hostess - Valérie - who has an eye for detail which makes all the difference and loves her job. Everything is perfect: from the evening table and its tasty and authentic menu to the jacuzzi, the refined room with the comfortable bedding or the breakfast with its homemade bread and yogurts. Dream stay in Balagne at 1722. Delicate and joyful welcome from Valérie, relaxation at the spa, enchanting location and magnificent room. We loved everything...Go there with your eyes closed. It's perfect for a romantic weekend with lots of walks/hikes nearby.

Très jolie chambre d'hôte, petit village perché mais assez loin de la côte. Belle région mais distances longues sur chemins étroits. Accueil chaleureux. Le propriétaire parle plusieurs langues. Literie de qualité, gel douche extra, belle déco. Le wc de notre chambre se trouvait à 2 m de la tête de lit, sans rideau, sans porte. A savoir si on a besoin de son intimité. Attention, le logement est difficile à trouver. Se garer sur la route et faire qqs mètres à pieds car le bâtiment est au bout d'une ruelle. Notre chambre donnait sur la salle du petit déjeuner, donc impossible de dormir après 7h30. Le reste du temps, très calme, très reposant. Le pt déj est composé de fromages, charcuteries, confitures locales. Pain gris en tranche, yaourt, cake maison, jus frais. Si vous aimez le pt déj baguette, viennoiserie, le village est sans doute trop loin de commerces pour s'approvisionner. Le jacuzzi est magnifique avec sa nage à contre courant.

Il giardino è in realtà è un area abbandonata a se stessa. La camera: sprovvista di zanzariere, porta a verri che per oscurarla hanno messo un separè con una tenda da doccia. Umida pari a una cantina con uni scarafaggio di quasi 2 cm (vedere accanto al bicchiere) dentro il lavandino . Ce ne andiamo la mattina seguente lui dice che ci avrebbe rimborsato una notte. Ovvio è che non è la prima volta che promette di ridare i soldi ai malcapitati ospiti per poi tenerseli ! Insomma un proprietario disonesto ed una vera e propria TRUFFA!

Un lieu extraordinaire et hors du temps. La perfection existe. La maîtresse de maison est tout aussi extraordinaire. Valerie est bienveillante et nous a réservé un accueil formidable. On se sent rapidement a l’aise. En résumé, nous avons passé un séjour parfait.
