Sometimes the least assuming places delight more than expected. And so it was at Les Voyageurs hotel and restaurant in Vogue, France. Checking in to our immaculately clean and comfortable room, we dared wonder if the evening meal would be equally splendid. Spoiler alert - it was, and more. We have rarely enjoyed a restaurant meal so much, and we do eat out a lot. The menu is simple yet honest, prepared from local fresh products in a fashion that is surely going to turn the heads of foodies - local and tourist alike. The accompanying wine choices were sublime, and carefully curated by the new owner Bettie who - it transpires- is classically trained, having studied and worked at some of Paris’ finest establishments. In closing I can recommend this jewel in the rough without reservation, although if things develop as I sense they will, reservations are exactly what you are going to need.
