We booked via the Chateau’s own website and got an automated confirmation. I emailed the owner twice in the lead up to our stay to ask them to confirm our booking and to tell us what time we cold check in as we had a long journey from the UK. I had no reply to my 2 messages. 24 hours before our stay I received a confirmation email. A few minutes later I received another email, and a voicemail message from the owner, telling me that my booking had been cancelled due to a problem with our suite. I believe that they had double booked us and that is why they cancelled us at such short notice having failed to communicate with us earlier. Very poor indeed and led us to have to find accommodation at the last minute on the first day of our holiday.

Excellent séjour familial dans ce magnifique château, qui nous offre un voyage dans le temps avec sa riche histoire, un panorama superbe par sa position, tout ceci en plus de l’accueil chaleureux de son hôte qui donne très volontiers de son temps et est aux petits soins! Merci beaucoup, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir!

Au château de Vollore, nous avons séjourné dans une suite de style et de charme parfaitement équipée. L‘accueil par l’hôte de la famille de Lafayette a été très agréable et instructif. Le petit déjeuner a été exceptionnel dans une salle historique avec des produits régionaux. Nous avons profité de la terrasse avec vue panoramique sur la chaîne des Puys et de la grande piscine. Dîner possible dans une auberge au hameau voisin. Cela vaut vraiment la peine de sortir de l’autoroute et de séjourner au château de Vollore.

Wat een verzorgd verblijf in een uniek kader met fantastisch uitzicht! Zeer hartelijke ontvangst. Je merkt dat de eigenaars iedereen met veel zorg verwelkomen en laten verblijven. Prachtige kunstwerken, mooie en verzorgde kamers, lekker en lokaal ontbijt,... Wat zijn wij blij met deze ontdekking! Ideale tussenstop (ook voor families) op weg naar Andorra/Spanje. Wij komen bij gelegenheid zeker terug!

Tres belle étape en Auvergne près de Thiers. Panorama splendide sur la chaîne des monts d’Auvergne. Petit village joli et bien restauré. Le château est meublé avec des pièces de collection historique. Chaque chambre a sa décoration soignée. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. L’accueil est très sympathique. Si vous passez dans ce coin, c’est un bon moyen de protéger du patrimoine local. Ravis de l’avoir découverte.
