We stayed here for two nights. We had a nice cozy room. Parking is easy. The hotel has spaces in a garage just a few steps from the front door. The breakfast is good although the room it is served in could be a bit nicer. The pool area is nice and has plenty of deck chairs.

We had our previous hotel cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. They actually found us the room at san lino. Jenny the main receptionist at the note was amazing, helpful and kind. She helped us find good restaurants, suggested beach options for our ongoing trip, went above and beyond. It had a lovely pool and was lovely break.

Beautiful, historic hotel that was tastefully restored from an old convent. Sweet plaques outside of each room honor the sister who lived there. Our room was a bit dark and a little tired, but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast area is very nice and there were many choices for breakfast. The pool was terrific and the poolside limoncello spritzes were the best! Easy parking right near hotel was a plus. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed exploring Volterra and seeing Andrea Bocelli in the neighboring town was special.

This was a great stay, I just wouldn’t say it was 4 stars. A very nice 3 star. No coffee in the room. Very small shower. At the single beds pushed together had a top to made it a “double” that you didn’t sink through. Initially getting service by the pool was quite slow, but otherwise reception service was great. Parking is tricky, we got lucky finding a close spot but was 2€ an hour (for 4 days) as the hotel parking was full. I thought the hotel was quite cute, clean, and we enjoyed our stay, but as states, not a 4 star facility. Breakfast was a bit disappointing - very rubbery boiled eggs. Also have never stayed anywhere where you have to rent a towel by the pool. Loved the location to visit voltera.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Fantastic location. With in walking distance to all the main attractions.Very clean. Our room was cleaned every day. Would definitely recommend this hotel.We will definitely be back.

Tastefully refurbished 15th Century convent in a fantastic location just inside the city walls. The rooms are comfortable and scrupulously clean yet manage to retain the historic interest of being former nun's cells - even to the names of the rooms (ours was Sister Gennara). We had the bonus of a small terrace overlooking the pool area and the hills beyond, and the shower was modern and super-powerful. All the staff we met were friendly and attentive, with a special mention for Jenny, one of the receptionists. The public rooms were charming and were adorned with a number of excellent paintings by a local artist called Michele Nardiello. The only negative is that, although our room was quite large, there was not enough storage for minor garments such as underwear and other casual clothing. We are missing the place already...

We very much enjoyed our stay at San Lino as the room was bright and comfortable, staff was very helpful and the breakfast very good. We would like to return and San Lino on any future visits to Volterra.
