Wonderful, historic, memorable, unique spot. James is a great host. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. The expansive grounds are wonderful for strolling. Highly recommend the restaurants pointed out by James and the museums nearby.

This charming chateau provides wonderful accommodations in Normandy! If visiting the area to appreciate the history, this is the place to stay. Monsieur James is very helpful and provides tremendous historical context as this chateau hosted the American war correspondents at D-Day. I would stay here again and highly recommend this chateau. Thank you for a truly memorable stay!!!

Nous voudrions remercier Monsieur Hamel et toute sa équipe pour le merveilleux séjour passé dans le Château de Vouilly ; James et sa famille sont incroyablement gentil et accueillant. Le château est niché dans la campagne normande près du cimetière de guerre Allemande de La Cambe. James est un hôte parfait, toujours disponible, heureux de fournir des informations pour visiter les lieux de Normandie et pas seulement ceux Le Château fut le premier lieu où les correspondants de guerre des Etats-Unis et il maintient son atmosphère liée à son histoire et à l’histoire du débarquement. Les jardins autour du château sont impeccablement entretenus La chambre réservée était confortable et bien nettoyée. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et copieux ; croissants du jour, pain, confitures, fromages, yogourt, Jus d’orange. Nous recommandons vivement un séjour près le Château de Vouilly. Merci encore James, à la prochaine fois !!

Pas d'ascenseur, de climatisation, pas piscine ou de sona dans ce château, rien de tout cela et franchement, les vraies valeurs, ça fait du bien. J'aime à croire que le château de Vouilly est dans son jus depuis depuis peut-être 1944. Si on y réfléchit, cette bâtisse à un charme incomparable, que James Amel le propriétaire sympathique et intarissable vous fera aimer. On s'attend a chaque instant à croiser quelques fantômes de correspondants de guerre de la 82ieme ou 101ieme Air Borne. Bref un endroit insolite et attachant, une machine à remonter le temps. Allez y c'est hors du temps.
