The door is difficult to open and lock. The room lighting is so dim. Not enough lightings. The wash basin in the toilet did not work. Couldn’t drain out the water. The meals are good enough for both dinner and breakfast. The dune sunset watching is the best part of the stay.

First time visit to Oman and always fancied a middle of desert experience. Didn’t really know what to expect but just went for it. Booked a one night stay here and planned the mountains after. Hired a car from Muscat and followed the instructions from the hotel. You definitely need a 4x4 be in no doubt. It’s approx 10km from the main road and a bumpy sandy track to the hotel. Warm welcome at reception with cold towels and a luggage delivery to our room. There are a ton of experiences here and would say a 2 night minimum would be required if you want to take full advantage. Being so hot, naturally events take place early in the day. There are some great complimentary items which are a must do including a 4x4 short trip to the top of a sand dune for sunset and a camel ride. Evening meal was buffet style with a ton of options. A very different and unforgettable experience!

We had a great time at Desert Nights and would definitely recommend. The setting is lovely and although the rooms are simple, they are comfortable and clean. The food was AMAZING and you can't beat sitting out under the stars for dinner. We found the excursions fun and well organised, but expensive and not value for money. The staff were lovely and despite being able to see city lights in the distance, the feeling of being away from it all on top of the sand dunes at sunset was wonderful. Peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed here as part of our personal tour for one night, but it was an amazing place and an amazing experience in Bidiyah. First of all it ‘s so great to experience the sunset in the dunes and stargazing too, the camel ride was fun as well. The food at the dinner buffet was of a very good quality. The breakfast was lovely too. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms/tents are very well done, with good toiletries , etc. By the way, we managed to do even massage at their spa and the ladies were amazing. Wish we could do it again. There is something magical to stay in the desert, and here you can do it in style.
