We loved Peter’s Farm Lodge, the building was so special and beautifully kept - so much character. It had everything we needed - tea/coffee/milk in the kitchen to grab whenever, simple breakfast, washing machine, very clean and modern bathrooms etc. The views from the Lodge are stunning, a wonderful place to spend some time and Peter offered us to help feed his pet lamb - great fun! Peter gave us great advice to stop at St Bathans en route to Queenstown - excellent advice as it was an amazing place. Dinner at the Waipiata pub was also a great recommendation. Thank you very much!

Peter was the ultimate host, welcoming us and showing us around the property. He had even baked fresh bread for our breakfast! The property is a wonderful example of an era passed, but maintained in a way that keeps its authenticity, yet still remains a comfortable and enjoyable space. The views are fabulous and the sound of farm life is the only noise you hear. We were traveling by e-bikes and the ease with which we could charge our bikes was greatly appreciated. Peter provided us with a courtesy vehicle to get to the local pub for our evening meal. I definitely recommend it as a great place to stay.

Lovely spot with heaps of character, recently done up with very comfy beds. Very resonably price. We were there on a work trip undertaking wilding pine work with 7 of us staying there stayed in smaller cottage. Will be staying again anytime we are in the area

The historic house was very comfortable and was good for the kids to get up close to the sheep & chickens. We enjoyed a trout for lunch we caught on the farm. Peter was a great host and his local knowledge of the area was very helpful. Waipiata country hotel is great for dinner & only 5min away.

Absolutely wonderful escape. Pete was super helpful and hospitable and we loved the touches of farm eggs and home made bread. The Farm house was well heated and had so much character. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. Our cottage was also warm and comfortable, and we loved exploring the environs, highly recommended!

What a wonderful place with a great host. Dont judge by the outside of the house. There is so much charm in this delightful old home with everything you could need. Beautiful bed linen and very comfortable beds. Pete's homemade bread is delicious. He was so accommodating with lending us a vehicle to go out for dinner.

Beautiful home with everything you could need. Wonderful how it has been kept in the era it was built. Very warm. Pete's home made bread is great. Car loan to go to tavern for dinner was much appreciated. Pete is a great host and goes out of his way to help.
