The location and facilities of Shadian are the best in the same area. It is convenient for traveling, the breakfast is rich, the staff service is first-class, and the hotel provides many travel programs, making it worth visiting again.

10/10 recommend! I knew Raja Ampat would have incredible diving, but staying at the Meridian was the cherry on top - Great people: from reception, dive guides, boat captains, house keeping and kitchen staff- warm, friendly, and helpful people. Made our stay so comfortable. Thank you, everyone! - once you land Sorong it’s super easy. You can pay for Meridian to arrange transport from airport and ferry. Highly recommend. - loved the dive boats- super fast and well equipped for diving. - gear felt new and well kept. I had some of my best buoyancy ever and I think a big part of that was the gear. Aqualung BCD (air inflates only in the back) - loved it. Equipment room was well organized. - the restaurant is delicious. Breakfast was included: fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, orange juice, toast (with pineapple jam or strawberry), eggs cooked to order and coffee. So good. For lunch or dinner I recommend the Kung Pao chicken or Nasi Goreng - but you can’t go wrong. Everything was delicious. - on a random note I really like the smell of their laundry detergent. The towels always smelled so nice. I also had laundry done and it came back soft and nice (and smells so good). Thank you, Meridian, for a wonderful time in Raja Ampat.

Amazing dive resort! Best dive sites we’ve been to and the staff was super nice and helpful, accommodating to different levels. Rooms were small but comfy, and food was great. We did some other cool outings like the blue river and the half-day boat which I totally recommend. Would definitely come back!!

Incredible resort for diving! The team is awesome and takes care of you and the equipment. You really just get to enjoy and eat watermelon on beautiful islands during surface intervals. UNREAL dive sites, great stay and food…but the people were the best!

Great dive hotel. Shout out to Ross, our dive guide, for taking us on epic adventures we were there. We are newly PADI certified and he was kind enough to give us a brief refresher on our first day prior to going out on a dive. Great hotel if diving is your main focus.

This tiny resort has an identity crisis. A bit of a 'fire festival' situation where the hype is huge but the reality disappoints. Rooms are tiny and missing normal amenities like hand soap and facial tissue. The a/c cannot be adjusted without a ladder. Bedding is comfortable though. Otherwise it is getting a bit shabby for the price they charge. No ocean views. Often reception was un-staffed. Restaurant was pricey (not an all-inclusive despite price) and service slow. Some good food though. Beef rendang was yum! Diving is always great in Raja Ampat, but guiding was mixed. Some great guides/spotters, others not so much. The boats are super fancy (resort cost probably is paying those off) but excessive. A great guide is more important (Simsan and Apnan were great). Camera tables in reception area are convenient but under-powered if you need to charge batteries etc. Shoes off policy is a nice idea but inconvenient. Marketing is nonstop- you have to watch videos in restaurant, and merch lacks interest (no dive images) and is one big ad. The place was very empty and I think the above (especially price) explains why. They could turn this around to be less sterile, more welcoming, and more functional.

The Instructors are great ! Very patient! Equipment is in good condition, very nice boat, new and proper for diving ! In the beginning , we went in the swimming pool, learned how to use the cylinder, regulator, all the hand signals we use to communicate under water… how to clean the mask, etc … after felling confident and secure , we went to the beautiful world under the sea … Everybody should do it once in life ….!
