Wakayama Beach Hotels

Wonderful location. Very clean. Good service. Friendly and helpful staff. We experienced a mild earthquake in early morning. There was announcement after the alarm to the hotel room after the shake. However, it was only in Japanese. It would be better if the announcement could be in English as well. Anyway, the reception took our call and explained the situation quickly.

The hotel is walking distance to Wakayama castle. The rooms are clean because it’s a renovated hotel this year. The morning breakfast buffet is amazing. A varieties of food are there. And also many kinds of drinks are there.

Very cost-effective hotel. The room is very clean and tidy, and the hotel's service is also very good. If you arrive early, your luggage can be kept for you. The breakfast variety is rich and delicious for the price. It is very convenient to go to the city center with JR. I will stay here again when I go to Tokushima in the future.

The hotel is about 5-6 minutes walk from the JR station. The hotel is not new, but it is clean and tidy. The room is large and can open 2 21-inch suitcases. The bedding is comfortable. The special thing is that there is a hot spring, which is very refreshing. The breakfast is rich in variety and delicious. It is recommended to stay

Candeo is right on Wakayama-Shi Train station, which makes it incredibly convenient. Sound-proofing ensures perfect sleep and no disturbance from trains or traffic etc. The staff accepted early check-in at 2pm and were incredibly courteous, professional, English-speaking and kind. Really excellent. Some large Japanese hotel chains are not entirely geared to the ”international market” and the attitude to non-Japanese guests can be less than ideal. NOT CANDEO. The staff are comfortable with an international clientele, cheerful and welcoming. How wonderful! The entire hotel is extremely clean and well-run. Everything says ”professional”. The flower arrangements on each floor are REAL. Flowers are extremely expensive in Japan. The view from the reception area (Floor 11) is fantastic. The spa (Floor 12) is open air, with a great view and a magical feel. I enjoyed my stay very much and I hope to return to Candeo soon.

Value for money. For the price paid. Can't complain much as got free driving from Kada station to the hotel. Cons is need to get the pic from train station to call as the number on the Google map and the banner can't go through. Recommended to use the hotel transport as walking is too far. Pros everything. There is a laundry coin as well which save our life alot as we travel 3 weeks to Japan. Do note the awajima shrine is just beside this hotel. Must visit and do see the sunset and sunrise. An European styled resort hotel right next to the marina, Porto Europe and the seafood market, the proximity to these facilities makes up for its rather out-of-the-way location. The marina gives the hotel a nice and posh surrounding and scenery. The staff are very helpful and efficient.

When a typhoon hits Wakayama, there are no people on the street. There is a 711 behind the hotel, which is very convenient. The room is larger than expected, with a separate toilet and washroom. There is a small window, you can see the outdoor scenery, it can be opened for ventilation, and there is no wind or rain, which is perfect for typhoon days. We brought our baby to stay and ordered two breakfasts. The grandpa at the front desk directly gave us six breakfast coupons for two days. We were so touched, especially when we rushed here in the wind and rain. The breakfast is very rich, and I like the cold tofu and curry rice the most. There is also a self-service drink machine, and the Calpis soda is great! Will stay here again if I have the chance!

The front desk staff were very helpful! It was crowded at breakfast, but they added more of the menu items that were out of stock, and we were able to get a seat and the food was delicious.

It's an old hotel with good hygiene, average location and quiet surrounding. There is not much business around, and you have to go a little further to eat and drink. There are toiletries and maps in the lobby, which is quite convenient.
