Les Trois Erables Boutique Inn

This is a wonderful inn, but let me make clear from the beginning, it's not really a B&B - no breakfast included. (According to the website, you can get a boxed breakfast for a reasonable price.) But it's a lovely house, great location, and very agreeable hosts. It's a grand old house (originally built as an inn in 1896), right across the road from the Gatineau River. The common rooms downstairs are beautiful, with lots of period furniture, hardwood floors, etc. There's a guest kitchen, but I didn't use it, so can't tell you much about that. I stayed in the Edey room, which had a very comfortable queen-size bed, armchair, good storage for folded clothes etc. No closet, but enough hangers on pegs in a couple of places. Keurig-type coffee maker in the room. Little extras for guests, including yummy cookies and a tiny jar of local honey. The hosts, Shana and Bruce, are very friendly and helpful. Wakefield is a charming town and there are several good restaurants in walking distance from the inn, and the general store is right across the street. It feels like you're way out in the country, but it's not far from the autoroute and a short drive from Ottawa.

Although we only stayed one night at this charming B&B, our stay was definitely memorable. It was like coming home to a grand place. Our room was impeccably clean and cosy, comfortable and well-appointed in old-world Cuban style. We will definitely revisit when we can enjoy the breakfasts, once they will be available again in the dining room, post-COVID.

We stayed at Les Trois Erables for one night in June 23 and wish we could have stayed longer. It is in the perfect position with just a few minutes walk into Wakefield. The room and bathroom we had were both large, with all the amenities we needed. Our breakfast boxes were very tasty and we enjoyed having this on our little balcony looking over the beautiful garden. Shana was very helpful and friendly the perfect host.

Such a delightful, restful stay. Our room - the Gatineau - was extremely comfortable and elegantly decorated. The grounds and gardens are extensive and beautifully kept. Thank you to our host Shana - you have thought of everything!

I LOVE this Inn! The property is a gem and the proprietors are warm and welcoming. It's very reasonably priced as well. If you're looking for a place with charm that's quiet AND well located, try it. You won't want to book anywhere else. Sorry for sounding like a commercial, but it really is great. :-)
