We used the hotel for a Saturday night stay. The location was good and the room was well decorated and clean. The issue we had was that there was no coffee machine/kettle in the room. Everything else was provided, teabags, cups, milk etc. we raised this at the pub bar and were told that they would sort it out. We were going to a nearby birthday party so couldn’t wait around for them to do it as they said it would take around 20 minutes. We agreed that they would leave it outside the room but when returning later that evening they had done nothing. The staff seemed to be more focused on the pub than the hotel

Pub hotels can be hit or miss (normally miss). Antic pubs are normally "shabby chic". This place was excellent. Comfortable bed, great bathroom, nice decor and friendly staff- not to mention sensibly priced beer. I'd stay again, but probably not in a heatwave - rooms don't have aircon. Highly recommended.

Great bijou hotel, lovely rooms with great en suite, well decorated, with tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable bed with great pillows and a fan which was needed, and a great ballroom, inside an old pub one of the great English pubs in London,

Stayed here as it was in the area I needed to be in for a conference. Check in was quick and efficient and the man who checked me in kindly took my suitcase up the stairs for me. I was top floor so there were quite a few stairs but by the end of the week I was a bit fitter ! The entrance to the hotel Is separate to the bar so don't need to go to the bar after checked in. The staircase is lovely with chandeliers and books and pictures the rooms are named after Kings and Queens My room the Mary room was beautiful. The beds are so comfortable with gorgeous velvet pillows. As I was under the roof and it was painted dark green with only small window it was quite dark. Nice view over the city buildings especially lit up at night. The room got cleaned regularly and was kept in good order. There is a hairdryer and iron and lots of cupboard space There is a fridge which is handy. Teas black green earl grey herbal and coffee pods milk and biscuits are provided . There are instructions for the coffee machine and its very tasty proper coffee which I enjoyed. Everything is nice quality. There is nice smelling aromatherapy shower gel shampoo conditioner hand soap and cream. The shower is a rain shower nice and hot. The wallpapers are beautiful . There is a little radio too I looked forward each night to sink into my beautiful Queens bed. I might have to buy velvet pillows now. The pub was very quiet , I wasn't there for the weekend though. There was some arguing outside the first night I think from another place. Also it shakes ! Which I realised must be from the underground underneath which is about 3 mins walk. Got used to it after the 1st night. There are shops and restaurants and cafes about 1 minute away which is convenient. Would stay again miss the bed !

Lovely place to stay, room was fantastic, lovely decorated, bed very comfortable. Proper coffee machine with pods, tasty biscuits. Lovely fluffy white towels, bath & shower Fan, as the room was warm. Clean, changed towels bed made up. Great communication with pub, prompt replies. Complimentary bottle for our wedding anniversary. Staff friendly in the pub. Though 25 minutes from central London, underground was only 2 minutes away. Hiden Gem and a good price

Very convenient location just 2 x minutes from Leytonstone tube station. Easy check in at the pub and very helpful, friendly staff. Our room was at the top called ‘Mary’ which was fine for us, but no good for people with mobility, heart or breathing conditions. The room was quiet dark but nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable with television, coffee and tea making facilities, radio, safe and fridge. Nice bathroom with walk in shower. There had been a leak in the roof which had caused the wallpaper to peel and paint to stain. There was also a very strange periodic vibration through the floors and bed at times throughout the day and night which to be honest took a bit of getting see to. There is no air conditioning and as we were at the top of the building it was very hot, a fan was provided however don’t think that would be able to give much relief in the summer. The only mirror was in the bathroom, this was very awkward when my wife wanted to dry her hair! We used the bar and eat there once which were very nice. Be warned that the pub is open until 2am on Friday & Saturday nights and it is very noisy particularly between 12am & 2am with noisy revellers! Unfortunately we had an early start to our journey home on Saturday morning and we were woken up and had no sleep between those hours.

I booked last minute as the hotel I'd be accommodated at was dreadful. This hotel is an absolute dream! The rooms are large and beautifully decorated with a super comfy bed. There is a fabulous waterfall shower and thoughtful additions of water, coffee machine and tea selection. I had the best sleep and was surprised at how quiet it was given the busy location. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again.

Very good value. Beds were comfortable, excellent transport links with Leytonstone underground station being 2 minutes walk away. Would highly recommend as a base for visiting London. Rooms were clean and the pub below was handy for a quick drink before heading out. There are also a number of shops, cafes and places to eat nearby with it being on the high street. There is some noise on a night time which is unavoidable due to the location but it’s not intrusive. Would definitely stay again.
