Vintage Cottage in Wanchese

Enjoy the fishing village of Wanchese, the quaint town of Manteo, and the nearby beaches of the Atlantic during your stay in “Aunt Vid’s Cottage.” Aunt Vid’s family restored the cottage, preserving its original charm while providing many new amenities, including WiFi, central air-conditioning, new appliances, and an outside shower and fish-cleaning sink. Upon entering Aunt Vid's cottage, you will be transported to an earlier era of tranquility on Roanoke Island. The family restored the original pine floors throughout the cottage. They renovated the kitchen while maintaining its vintage feel with basket-weave tile, a retro fridge, and butcher block counter-tops. The little cottage has a large front porch for enjoying the island breeze. After a day at the beach or fishing on the sea, the outside shower is a private, roomy spot in which to wash away the sand.
