This is a cozy farmhouse located in Oakland, KY on a 150+ acre farm. It is only two minutes from I-65 south to Bowling Green/Nashville, five minutes from 1-65 north to Louisville/Lexington, 10 minutes from the Corvette Museum, and 20 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park, Nolin Lake, Beech Bend Raceway, and Western Kentucky University. It is centrally located between Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY. We look forward to hosting travelers from a variety of backgrounds and interests!SpaceExtra beds (besides the king size bed): There is a queen size pull-out sleeper sofa with a new cool gel memory foam mattress. We also have a 22 inch raised queen size air mattress with a built in electric pump. We have a game and movie rack with a wide selection of favorites. We also offer several kitchen gadgets including crock pots, George Foreman grill, double panini maker, stand-up mixer, pots, pans, baking sheets, etc. Guests will also find the SOKY Magazine, which offers a monthly calendar for all the daily/nightly events in Bowling Green and surrounding cities. There is also a high school regulation-size basketball court and a pond (sorry - no swimming or fishing).Our most favorite attractions on the farm are the cows. They are very friendly and LOVE bread for treats. Guests are more than welcome to feed and pet them.Guest accessWe hope guests will enjoy the entire farm - from the basketball court to walking the airplane landing strip to the pond.Guest interactionWe live in a separate home in front of the farmhouse and will be available at almost anytime.Other things to noteWhile we do not have cable TV, we do have an antenna which provides approximately 15-20 channels along with a DVD player and wide selection of movies. The house is divided into two sides with each side having an open floor plan. The kitchen leads into the living room and the bathroom leads into the bedroom. The toilet is hidden from view of the bedroom by a half wall and curtained area.Upon departure, guests are asked to start the dishwasher. Hi. This is a perfect farmhouse for week day trips, family vacations, and touring Bowling Green. Places like Mammoth Cave ( 35 min ), Beech Bend Park (25 min away), Kenny Perry Golf course (23 min). After you afternoon excursions you can relax by the stocked firepit or curl up in the hammock. I also have an entire house is on 5 acres and all to yourselves. The house is secluded on a large farm, but 10 minutes from the nearest interstate exchange. The house has 3 huge bedrooms- 1 room with a 2 full size beds. Another room has one full size bed with a sliding mattress under it and a queen size bed. The last room has a full size bed and a twin bed. A total of 7 beds. All beds are upstairs with a set of stairs to each separate bedroom. It has a large kitchen and a dining room downstairs. New furniture in the living room with plenty of seating. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination and has towels for 8 guests daily. It is located on a farm with a long driveway for parking. Super fast WiFi is now available! Not really handicap accessible as all beds are upstairs. The house also has a washer and dryer, blender, microwave, can opener, and Keurig.
