This Inn has been refurbished to a high standard and on arrival I was very happy. The room was clean, modern, well serviced, comfortable bed and pillows. I appreciate things like a stainless steel kettle too. However, the heating system is new. Premier Inn have gone for a wireless system. The thermostat is on the wall near the bed, the radiator was across the room by the table and chairs. At around 4am when the room temperature dropped, the stat began to talk to the rad. It was like trying to sleep between a game of ping pong with a few whistles and puffs thrown in. I lost around 3 hours sleep which after a 3 hour journey at the end of day to get there was not great. I was shattered the next day during which I had to host a workshop 10 till 7.30pm. I had chosen Premier Inn as they usually offer me good sleep. It was still on the chilly side in February however, in order to get a clear night sleep I had to turn the room stat right down low to stop it coming on during my second night. Such a shame because otherwise this is a really decent Premier Inn, newly refurbished and convenient. Take ear plugs or switch heating off - as was the suggestion by staff. PS. I can sleep on a bed of nails so not down to be being a light sleeper.
