Me and my husband stayed at this property in September 2025. To say that it not only met my expectations, but exceeded them! We had a two-bedroom, 2 bathroom villa in the Virgin Gorda building, 5th floor, corner room. This villa was spacious, clean, and updated—including a full kitchen and washer/dryer. PLENTY of room! We also had 2 large balconies from each bedroom. Check-in was quick, and the staff were always friendly and cordial. When we would stop by at the front desk throughout the week, the staff was talking amongst themselves, but quickly stopped and put their focus on addressing us when they saw us, which I appreciated. The beach area is very nice, soft sand and plenty of lounge chairs with umbrellas at no additional cost (first come first served.) Entering the water at some areas can be tricky due to some rocks and broken sea shells, but if you take your time, it’s no issue. The pool area was very nice, and they had several activities for the adults and kids throughout the day such as trivia, bingo, T-shirt dying, root beer float making, karaoke, movie night, etc. There is only one restaurant on site (wish there was more), but the food we had there at lunch and dinner was good, no complaints. We purchased some food from their marketplace to make our breakfasts in the room. They do have a shuttle service which takes you to the Westin and the Bouy Haus resorts next door which leave at the top of every hour. I would recommend visiting those properties as well. We had dinner at Isla Blue at Bouy Haus and Luna Mar at the Westin. Both meals were very good, plus the views at sunset are amazing. There is an excursion desk next the Marriott’s pool, offering catamaran snorkeling excursions, sunset cruises, and night time kayaks. I booked our excursions on Viator, but I believe they are the same options (not sure on pricing comparisons). A taxi ran us about $40 each way to and from the airport (take cash.) We did not rent a car. We had excursions that toured the island, took us to other beaches on the island, and we did some snorkeling excursions. We did not miss not having a car. Overall, in my opinion, this property would be great for couples, families, multi-generational families, and groups. I would stay here again in the future and I would recommend this property to my clients.

Seriously we appreciate how amazingly clean and updated our home resort is kept. The staff is friendly and the sunset grille is good as well. The cove is a wonderful resort that always feels like home! We already have 2026 booked.

This resort exceeded our expectations. From check in to check out everything was outstanding. The staff are amazing, welcoming, knowledgeable, responsive. The views of the apartments are just breathtaking. The housekeeping team was great too. Thank you for a memorable experience. We will come back.

Beautiful resort. Very comfortable rooms. Breath taking views. The pool/restaurant service is lacking. Only one restaurant to eat at. The menu was limited, over-priced and slow service. Foos was average. Drinks from the bar were good. The snorkeling to either side of the resort was good. Definitely best to rent a car. The resort is a little isolated. Quiet location.

The location was great, close to many things. We opted to avoid a rental car. Taxis were easy and efficient. The atmosphere of the resort was ass hoped for, very tropical, beautiful buildings, gardens and surroundings. The hillside buildings were very unique, offering multiple views of the water and nearby islands. Resort buggies were most helpful in getting around the resort. The buildings, public areas and rooms were always clean. There were a number of cats (feral?) and chickens on the grounds. They weren't a problem, unless you don't like cats. A negative is that there isn't an actual restaurant on site. The Sunset Cove Grill was just OK. The nearby market was a real winner. Real restaurants were just a complimentary van drive minutes away at the adjoining Westin and Buoy Haus properties. Speaking of restaurants, we were very happy with meals at Virgilio's, The Green House and The Stone House in town. At the resort, we enjoyed the pool immensely, along with poolside activities or events, of which there were many during our week. The beach is another matter. We are very much "beach people". The beach here is rather small in comparison to other resorts. It was adequate in size, but the presence of rocks near the shore and actually on the beach itself, made for some tricky maneuvering in and out of the water. Once passed the rocks and into the sandy bottom, the water was clear and warm. All staff and employees at the resort, couldn';t have been friendlier or helpful, when needed. A special recognition goes to a special young man by the name of Malik. He assisted us during our stay with our luggage, the buggy, and general help. He is future manager material! Finally, I would also recommend a taxi/tour driver, off site, by the name of Ali & Sons. Ali was everything you could ask for in a driver or tour guide. We would use him anytime we go back to St. Thomas. St. Thomas was a fantastic friendly island, and Marriott's Frenchman's Cove, in spite of a few negatives, is a highly recommended place to reserve for your tropical vacation.

We have been owners at the Cove since 2008 & always look forward to our 2 week stay in March. The villas are spacious & well appointed. The beach is nice for snorkeling & soaking up the sun. Great addition of the beach bar service & tables on the dock. With the Westin now open access to their amenities is a plus. Love the spa! The ferry shuttle to town is a great convenience as town traffic can be heavy. Navigating around the cruise boats is easy; those heavy days I hang out on the beach. Always love seeing many of the same staff each year. Marvin makes my beach days a delight… I love him! He makes sure the beach looks great each morning!

My family of five (husband and three children, ages 16, 12, and 6) visited St. Thomas from August 2–10, 2025, and stayed at Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove in a two-bedroom villa in the Virgin Gorda building. The villa was spacious, clean, updated, and had more than enough room for all of us. We often cooked breakfast and lunch right in the villa — the kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal. The pool area was another highlight — clean, inviting, and complete with a waterslide my kids enjoyed daily. There’s plenty of seating around the pool, and we never had trouble finding chairs. The beach is beautiful, with lots of chairs and umbrellas available. The sand is soft and clean, but a quick tip: enter the water on the far left side, as the right side can be a bit rocky. There’s one on-site restaurant with a casual menu of burgers, quesadillas, salads, wings, etc. We ate there three times for a late lunch/snack before dinner. The food was decent and convenient. The resort itself is hilly, so depending on where your villa is located, you may need to take two or three elevators to get there. It seemed tricky at first, but we got the hang of it quickly. For me, the only downsides were the limited dining options — I wish there were at least one or two more sit-down restaurants for dinner — and the long check-in process. Marriott emailed me multiple times before our arrival asking when we’d get there, and I consistently answered 2:00 p.m. While I understand check-in isn’t until 4:00 p.m., I had hoped the room might be ready since they asked. It wasn’t ready at 2:00, which was fine, but when we came back at 4:00, it still wasn’t ready. After waiting hot and tired from travel, we finally got into our room around 4:35 p.m. All in all, our stay was wonderful, and I would absolutely return to Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove. The location, villa comfort, and beautiful pool/beach area made it a memorable family vacation.

We are a family of four (my husband and I and two adult children ages 22 and 19). We all loved our stay at the resort. The rooms were spacious and nicely equipped with the comforts of home. We found the staff to be nice and accommodating Admittedly we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but we were comfortable while we were there. The gym was nice; had a peloton bike (which I loved). The cats and chickens weren't a problem for us - somewhat entertaining. On our last night we did the night kayak tour from the Westin which was memorable. The only negative review is related to food. First, there aren't any food options available after 10pm which posed a problem for us on the last night after the kayak tour. We attempted to eat dinner at 7 at the Westin but was told there was a 1 hour wait which would have put us too close to the starting time for the tour. We ended up eating sushi apps but would have preferred a more substantial meal since we were starving after the kayak tour. Next, we had breakfast and my kids had dinner at the on-site restaurant. I did not enjoy my seafood omelet as it was filled with imitation crab meat and not much else. Also, my daughter did not enjoy her yogurt/fruit plate. That said, our kids ate there the night before for dinner and really enjoyed their selections. So maybe it's hit or miss. Overall, we had a fabulous time and can't wait to go again.
