Watford (Croxley Green)

The location is not very good, not close to the tube.

Good locations and clean comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice. On west side of Watford, 15 min walk to the tube. Car parking £3 per 24hr. Tea and coffee in rooms. Staff friendly. Would stay again. Quiet location. Recommended.

Not a great first impression as the room I was given had bad mould in. I was given another room when I complained (thankfully without mould). Still, don't know how it had gone unnoticed, as it certainly stood out. Think I should have received a bit of money off for the inconvenience, honestly. I arrived about 10pm and had to be up at 5:30am, but then had to mess about going downstairs to talk to reception and switch rooms. I paid £232 for a three night stay, which, for a basic hotel, isn't cheap! The staff member on reception acted shocked when I showed him the photo of the mould, but it did seem like an exaggerated gasp. And from looking at the reviews on here, with several others complaining of mould in the rooms, I think my suspicions were correct. The place looks generally run down and tired, also. I noticed some bits of remnants on the hallway carpet which didn't move the entire time I was there, so the halls clearly aren't hoovered regularly. For the price per night, this place definitely needs some improvements. Maybe start with the mould problem...

I would have scored this place a 3 if it was not for the amazing service delivered by Savanha. We ordered some food which came quickly, looked awesome but was stone cold. S could not do more for us if she tried, quick to apologise and rectify, bringing out a fresh hot meal once cooked. Offered us drinks and deserts on the house and kept checking we were happy once rectified. Excellent service. Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Hotel was peaceful with ample parking and just off a main A road. Close to local amenities. Saddly the hotel lacked * Toilets need upgrade * No Tspoons in the room. How do we stire drinks? * Breakfast tasted a bit rubbery and cold in the morning. This is unusual for Premier as their breakfasts are normally spot on. * We only had 1 pillow, lacked additional bedding in the room.

We stayed to visit Warner studio’s with the kids and arrived earlier than planned but we went and had Some lunch which was very nice. Our room was set up with four beds ( a little tight but we made it work) the beds were comfy and the rooms was clean we have no issues. We had breakfast early as we had a time booked for the studio’s and there was plenty of food which was nice. The staff all weekend very friendly and happy to help. We Will look to come back in the summer
