Octopus Resort

Great resort and tucked away from everything. Beach gorgeous and beautiful blue water. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Villa hut we stayed in was cute with a outside shower. Food was delicious.

From the moment we approached the Island by boat boat, you are greeted with friendly laughs and singing. Friendly smiles all round. Singing a welcome song and playing a ukulele the second you lay your feet on the golden beach. Bure’s are in a traditional Fiji thatch style in and out. Beachfront, the ones we stayed in comes equipped with a swing bed, hammock as well as a couple loungers. Food from the food plan menu is exceptional and plentiful. You are most definitely never hungry. The resort is packed with activities that are free to do and snorkelling from the beach is excellent during high or low tide. All gear snorkelling gear can be provided by the resort free of charge. Awesome kids club and always happy to take care of the kids if your diving excursion takes longer than normal Amazing diving options here too. Very easy to mingle with everyone and kind of place you meet friends for life.

In my 80th birthday year as part of the celebrations I wanted to take my family to somewhere special, a place none of us had ever been before. It was a difficult choice as our ages ranged from 10 to 80. In the end I settled on Octopus Resort and I am so thrilled I did. Every member of the family come up with the same word to describe Octopus Resort AWESOME. Pristine location, golden sand, we all had beachfront villas, spacious, all facilities, great bathroom, modern and clean.Our own swing bed out the front of the villa just a few metres from the beach was wow.We enjoyed the beach plus the resorts own pool and there were lots of activites for the kids. The restaraunt is really classy and spacious with nice indoor outdoor balance and we all enjoyed meeting up for dinner each night. Oh and dont forget the musicians at dinner, they do a fabulous rendition of 'Bad Moon Rising"plus other 60's hits and music and interaction with the kids. Octopus has a real focus on family,there is good security, its safe for the kids to wander without Mum and Dad.Alcohol consumption is well controlled , no room parties. We all slept really well. We found the staff from the transfer boats to the Coconut Bar, to the housekeeping to the office to the wait and general staff, to the activities staff, not forgetting the crab race controllers and announcers outstanding. We loved our family holiday and as a family we are richer for the experience.

Paradise! We spent a week at Octopus - my husband and I, our grown children and 18 month old baby. Our stay couldn't have been better. The staff were exceptional, very responsive to requests, our accommodation was an exquisite location in a traditional bure right on the beach. At high tide the water almost reached the loungers. Food was much better than I expected, the kitchen offering a varied and local menu. No one goes hungry! Numerous activities were available every day. The hike and village visit were well worth the effort. I never found time for yoga. The scuba and snorkelling guys were really excellent and very professional. The snorkelling right off the beach is first-rate. We have dived and snorkelled around the world so have much to compare to. Octopus has quite a diversified group of guests - families and kids, young single travellers and retired people. This appealed to us. Transfers worked perfectly. I had superb online support from Robert while booking this trip for 6 of us. Many many thanks to all the local staff from the village. They are so welcoming and wonderfully kind.

We are just finishing a 7 day stay, self,wife and 5 year old. Everything was perfect. Management, staff, accommodation, food, location, activities. The snorkelling right off the beach is excellent. It was just what we wanted and needed. We leave feeling very relaxed and happy. I can’t imagine ever needing a better tropical island holiday. 10/10
