We had zeroed in on "Mountain Shadows" for celebrating our 10th Anniversary , as we had received glowing reviews from our friends who had stayed here earlier. After our stay here, I must say this was a great decision. We directly contacted Resort for the package and we really got a very good deal from their reservation desk. Booking experience was quick and smooth. Resort called us a day before our arrival to brief us about the formalities etc. and also to enquire about our preferences. Resort is located on the banks of Banasura Lake/Reservoir, giving it a very Pleasant view overall. Gazing at the stars in the clear Night sky, sitting in your balcony was really a mesmerizing experience. We felt so close to nature. Hospitality was really top notch. Starting from Front Desk to housekeeping to Restaurant folks, everyone had constant smile on their face, always ready to help us. Did not have a single Bad experience. Coming to food, they had nice variety in their Menu, starting from Continental to pan Indian cuisines. Taste was really great. They also made customizations to their existing menu as per our request. We ordered room service and was very Quick. Price was really reasonable and so were the portion sizes. High tea was complementary. There were lot of variety in the High team menu. From Chat to Pakora to traditional Kerala sweets. It was served on a Village tea stall type setup, directly overlooking Banasura Lake. You can enjoy the view while sipping your tea, and let your kids enjoy on the Swings near by. Children Play area was another USP. One of the best amongst the resorts we have visited. Kids will never get bored at all. There were lot of other indoor games, like TT , Pool , Carrom and Chess. There was an outdoor play ground as well for Basketball/ Cricket. They have a designated cycling track at the periphery and good number of cycles. So, that was a great thing for cycling enthusiast like me. Overall, It was a fulfilling and rejuvenating stay. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking out to book a resort in Wayanad.
