Hotels in Wenchang Downtown Area, Wenchang

Spacious, airy room. It had some smoke smell, but it got vented eventually. There is a restaurant and some eateries in around 10 minutes walk, but not much more than that.

This is really a very nice hotel, unexpected in a relatively small town. The room looks new and is very comfortable. I especially liked the cosy seating area near the window. Staff was exceptionally friendly as well. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are not very interesting, but the location is very convenient nonetheless: walking distance (20-30 minutes) to Qilou Old Street, only 2 bus stops away from the train station and also close to local buses to tourist areas such as Tonggu Ridge (though I've read not all sites there are open to foreigners, I mainly wanted to see Gusong fishing village and that's no problem) and Gaolong Bay. The only area of improvement is that this hotel has a tendency to keep calling customers before their stay (3 times I got an SMS in Chinese saying something like ”Meilin Hotel is going to call you, please pick up”, followed by a call from an unknown number). I can communicate in simple Chinese but am not great at doing phone calls in Chinese and in any case I hate this kind of insistent phone calls. I didn't pick up but after the second call checked with Trip.com what was wrong, expecting some major problem. It turned out the hotel just wanted to confirm a small change I had made to my booking, which had already been confirmed in the app anyway... While this attitude is perhaps meant as service, I perceived it as annoying and superfluous and I would strongly suggest the hotel stops harassing customers with phone calls unless there's a real emergency. Having said this, the staff on site in the hotel was exceptionally friendly and polite; this is one of the few hotels in China where staff members actually greeted me when I walked past reception, which was much appreciated! I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I ever visited Wenchang again.

This is a hotel that I think is very cost-effective. Let's talk about the environment first: This is a new high-end hotel under the Jinjiang Group. The hotel has a good location, beautiful environment, and a novel and special decoration style. The whole hotel feels clean, tidy, and sanitary. The service also left a deep impression on me. From the beginning of check-in, Ms. Huang at the front desk carefully introduced the hotel services and facilities, and enthusiastically introduced nearby delicious spots and attractions worth visiting, which made us feel very comfortable. In addition, the hotel also gave us afternoon tea coupons (unfortunately we were going to the next stop, so we didn't enjoy it, and gave it to the online car-hailing driver). The hotel's general manager Pang personally delivered lychees to the room. The service was really thoughtful and the lychees were really sweet. The breakfast was also rich and varied, and several waiters were very enthusiastic. All the staff of this hotel always had smiles on their faces, which really made people feel very comfortable.

Conveniently locate and easy access to amenities. Front desk staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel is very dated. Though the bedroom was decently clean, the bathroom was a mess. It had stain marks all over the walls. The groutings in the shower cubicle had mild dew stains and so was the anti-slip bath mat. It is definitely not fit to be used. The foldable wooden windows above the wash basin had rotted and the paint was coming off. Coordination between front office and dining room staff was poor resulting in me being questioned about my eligibility to have breakfast. A moment of embarrassment. However the manager apologised and sent us a complimentary fruit platter and a pot tea.

We planned to go to Wennan Old Street and Confucius Temple the next day, so we chose to stay in a nearby hotel. Advantages: 1. The room is large, and the children can play and move around with a bunch of luggage. The two beds are large in size, easy to move, and put together is very convenient for families with two children. The bedding is good and the sleeping experience is very good. The balcony is quite large and the view is relatively wide. 2. The location of the hotel is very good. There is a gas station across the road, close to the downtown area, and complete supporting facilities. 3. The shower is very good and the bath is comfortable. Disadvantages 1. The surrounding environment of the hotel is a bit messy. There are two clubs in front, and the parking lot is full of garbage, and the hygiene is worrying. Others, The projection is OK, not to mention the giant screen audio and video. The partridge tea bags in the room are unique, and the decoration style gives people a sense of Hainan characteristics. Overall, the price-performance ratio is above average.

The room is very clean and large in size. The guy at the front desk upgraded the room type. The room is also on a high floor. The sound insulation effect is very good and you can have a quiet rest without being disturbed. The price is convenient and very affordable. It is very suitable for business trips and tourism. It was my first time to stay at the All Seasons. The price was very cheap. I didn’t have high expectations. I just wanted to choose a hotel closest to the train station. The result was much better than expected. I think it should be the best, newest and cleanest hotel in Wenchang city. , the decoration style is simple and modern, the gym, laundry room and other accessories are complete. The front desk and cleaning service staff are very polite. They say hello when they see it. The cleaning is also very clean. I booked this hotel for a trip with friends. The transportation is super convenient. It's really close to Wenchang Station. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is newly renovated. There is no formaldehyde smell at all. The environment is super awesome and the service is great. I praise the front desk staff. The beautiful sister was very enthusiastic and told us about fun and delicious places nearby. The overall environment of the hotel is really great. I always liked Lavande when I was on business trips (the main hotel is a place where you can listen to music), so I decided to stay here when I saw Wenchang. I am so impressed that I will continue to stay here next time I come to Hainan. Because it is very convenient and affordable, it is very cost-effective. I have to say that the hotel's breakfast is also very nice, with many varieties and the chef's skills are good👏. Worth recommending👍👍👍
