Came to Purdue to visit my kids, and stayed in a standard North American chain hotel. It was neither good nor bad, but for a hotel in a cornfield, the price was really not cheap. I booked a four-star hotel in the downtown area of Chicago this weekend. It was newly renovated, had large rooms, and was a little cheaper than this hotel. Maybe it's because it's relatively scarce here, and the hotel is a monopoly, so the price is high. Free parking and free breakfast are quite convenient.
