We arrived about 4.30 pm for our overnight stay. Our room looked out to the garden where couples were enjoying the warm sunshine. Our room was very clean and nicely furnished. There has obviously been a great deal of money spent on each individual room. Our bathroom was huge or rather wet room, which my husband nearly managed to flood! There was a tray with a selection of teas but unfortunately no de-cafe tea or coffee. A small coffee machine had also been provided. The floor was a light board throughout which is great during the summer months, but could be cold during the winter and a small mat might be worth adding. We sampled the fish and chips in the evening in the bar dining area. All very enjoyable and helpful staff.

Beautiful room, very comfy bed and amazing shower. Lovely little touches, well thought out and classy decor. Yummy breakfast and had lunch too which was delicious. I love the style of Harcourt Arms , it’s got that traditional setting very well renovated . Will definitely stay again .

Great food, rooms and service. Lovely friendly pub with guest rooms, the staff are so helpful yet professional. Dogs are allowed which is very relaxing. The whole place is very well decorated and furnished with a beer garden and ample parking.

I've stayed at Harcourt arms several times before but the last time was very disappointing Service has got much worse. They appear to be having conferences/ meetings which has impacted badly. The car park is full with no where else to parkin the day and the evening The restaurant seems to be closed permanently and catering for the meetings only. Which has impacted the service in thebar where residents now have no choice but eat in there and as the afternnon and evening meetings/conferences seem to take priority causing a long wait for food for the residents. What was once a village pub has graduated into a perfectly acceptable restaurant pub with accommodation into what appears to be an extremely busy meeting place with insufficient parking or facilities to cope I don't know if the villagers will be happy with daytime and evening coming and going of a conference centre traffic The new management seems contemptuous of the both hotel residents and local residents

We obviously did not pick the right week! During booking we were quizzed, several times, on the fact that my husband and I were happy for our 18 year old son to share the family room with us. Which we assured them we were. On arrival we were taken up to the family room to be shown one double bed. When we questioned the lady who showed is the room we were told that they were not aware of the fact there were 3 of us, no problem, the bed in the wall is always made up, so just needed pulling out! We went down to dinner at our booked time ........ an hour later we were still waiting our starters (despite the fact that an obvious 'regular' couple came in much later and got starters and mains before any of the patrons who has been patiently waiting got theirs! When someone queried how they managed to get served so quickly they responded that they were nice to the staff. No one in that pub was rude at any time to the poor waitress who was in tears, quite the contrary, we were consoling her. We eventually got our mains a good 2 hours after ordering. The food was lovely, but as we were so hungry, we were not able to appreciate it. We were given the meal on the house. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the monthly quiz night while we were there. The pub was taken over, we were put in the dining room, not as grand as it sounds, we were definitely the forgotten ones, service was very sporadic and people left standing around waiting to be seated. Again, food was great. Overall a lovely place, reviews are great, we were obviously unlucky. Definitely worth a try.

We often go out for a Sunday roast in West Oxfordshire, and yesterday we found a real gem - Harcourt Arms. It is the best Sunday roast we’ve had for a long time, simply delicious and plenty of it. It includes all the sides and lots of a devine gravy. My boy had a brownie & ice cream, which was also incredible. Highly recommend this place and we will be back in March. They also had a 0.5% beer on draught, volt and it was lovely, very similar to a full alcoholic pint.

Very nice looking country pub & hotel. We went for a Sunday lunch. The restaurant interior decor was lovely and though quite big it still felt cosy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The manager was very nice chatting to us about the history of the pub and the recent refurbishment. We ordered the pork belly roast dinner. Really delicious and one of the best roasts we have ever had. Definitely recommend a visit and we will be back soon.

Excellent stay from the moment we arrived until we left (2 nights). Very comfortable and quiet. Our room was warm even though it was minus 6 outside! Very good breakfast choices and evening meals. Particularly enjoyed the avocado and eggs breakfast and the steak frites dinner. Highly recommend.
