Days Inn by Wyndham West Yellowstone
3.9/5118 Reviews
We stayed at the Days Inn in West Yellowstone while visiting YNP. Our room was very clean and neat and the staff were very friendly. It's a nice budget place to stay when visiting Yellowstone National Park. It's convenient to restaurants (I recommend Running Bear Pancake House, The Buffalo, and Pete's Pizza for food). It has a small indoor pool with a goofy slide and a hot tub--we didn't use either of these amenities. It's convenient to get into Yellowstone NP. They offer free breakfast, but you'll want to skip that amenity. It's not good at all. However, I understand from the staff that the hotel has a new owner, so they are still figuring out the breakfast thing, so maybe by next year it will be worth it. Also be advised that they do not clean rooms while you are staying there. The rooms are cleaned after you check out. I'd stay here again given its cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff.
Yellowstone Park Hotel
4.3/5113 Reviews
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, although we did not spend a lot of time in our room as the National Park is full of places to visit. The hotel location is convenient, a few minutes drive from the West entrance of the Park and the staff is friendly, helpful and polite. Also the city of West Yellowstone is a few minutes walk, so no need for driving to the main restaurant/shopping area. The room was clean and comfortable. They do not offer room housekeeping except if you request for it, which is nice due to COVID as well as environmental friendlier as they do not exchange your towels if there is no need to. The breakfast, which is served daily until 10am, had a lot of choices, although there were no fried egg option (only hard boiled) nor fresh fruits, but there were waffles and fresh coffee as well as cereal and bagels. The hotel has a gym as well as a pool, but we did not have time or energy to use them. We heard that they have also free laundry room (not personally used). Last but not least, there is a fire pit outside with free s’mores at night as well as free ice cream every afternoon.
Gray Wolf Inn & Suites
4.4/544 Reviews
Grey Wolf Inn is a terrific place with helpful, accommodating staff. It is in an excellent location within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants in West Yellowstone. We found our room to be clean and the inn well maintained. The breakfast bar is excellent with abundant selections of foods to choose from, and they provide smores kits for use with their fire pit during the evening. This was the perfect place to come back to after full days in Yellowstone. Also, the Grizzly and Wolf exhibit across the street from the inn is not to be missed.
Holiday Inn West Yellowstone, an IHG Hotel
4.4/5135 Reviews
We stayed for one night at the Holiday Inn in West Yellowstone. We wanted a location close to Yellowstone so we could get an early start in the park. The room we got was a two bedroom suite with a king bed, queen bed, and living space. My one complaint was I wish it had a second bathroom though that was a minor issue. The beds were great and the entire hotel was clean. The decor around the hotel was fitting for the area giving it a unique feel. I enjoyed the stay and will consider staying here again on future trips to the area!
Three Bear Lodge
4.1/5101 Reviews
We stayed in a room in the motel part of the complex. Although the room was somewhat dated, it was clean and conveniently located to the west entrance to Yellowstone. There were several restaurants and many gift shops within walking distance. The breakfast buffet included with our fee was very good, but you have to get there early for the best selection. Steve was the host/manager at the breakfast buffet, and he skillfully managed a large crowd of eager patrons both days we were there. I have never seen such a hard worker so early in the morning! A special mention of Chloe, a reservation lady who cheerfully searched and helped us get a last-minute room. Although the price of the room was a little high, I understand the seasonal nature of the businesses in West Yellowstone, Montana.
Stage Coach Inn
4.2/5114 Reviews
The first room that they put us in was tiny dirty, and had a huge water leak stain on the ceiling. The closet was a joke. It was maybe 6 inches deep and had an ironing board hanging in it. No room for clothes. The bathroom floor looked dirty, but I think it was stained. We requested another room and they moved us into a much bigger handicap accessible room. The lobby needs some serious cleaning and updating. The carpet needed to be stretched. Desperately it was a trip hazard. The free breakfast was not great as the waffle mix on the make your own waffle smelled rancid and tasted funny. We along with two other families reported it. The cream cheese also looked curdled. The best thing about this place was the lady at the reception desk. He was very nice and helpful.
