Coho Inn & Motor Lodge

My daughter and I stayed here for one night for a little getaway. The room was very cozy and had a nice view. We stayed in #11 at the Inn. Bed was super comfortable, bathroom vas very clean and well-equipped and larger than I had expected for an inn room. The common room is adorable with an area for puzzles and games and an area with a pellet stove (which they had cranking on this particular night!), a couch, love seat and a few stuffed chairs for reading or socializing. Perfect for cocktails - which they will gladly make for you! We both had a nice sleep and were awoken only by the smell of bacon the next morning. Breakfast was delicious, there are individual tables for two or that sat several - your choice as to whether to mingle or not. My daughter was pleased that they had Greek yogurt and fruit. The morning we were there they offered several different juices, coffee, scrambled eggs and bacon, an assortment of breads, bagels, muffins, croissants, oatmeal, and I’m sure I’m leaving something out. The family that owns the inn are super sweet and friendly. Funky decor, from the wallpaper to the upholstery to the wall art. We loved it and would stay in again if we are ever back in the area.

Perfect Ski trip accommodation. New owners Lane and Ali are fantastic hosts. The breakfast is great and features lovely fresh baked muffins. The Inn Living Room is comfortable, cozy, and adds a nice social element to the stay. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished with lots of recent upgrades (like brand new Safa mattresses!) We will absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking to ski at Magic, Bromley, or Stratton Mountain.

I would like to give a shout out to the owners of the Colonial House Inn. This couple is amazingly friendly, generous and lovely people that welcome you with open arms to their dwellings. On a recent motorcycle trip with my son, his motorcycle broke down in a village nearby. Upon finding this Inn to spend the night and sort out our options, Laner did not hesitate to hook up his trailer and bring the bike back to the inn offering us his tools and help to fix the bike. He did really save the day for us. I would not hesitate to recommend this motel to anyone that wishes to experience the hospitality of a quaint typical Vermont road-side motel nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains. The rooms are clean and breakfast in the old dining room is quite fulfilling. The property grounds are kept clean, and a good-night’s sleep is assured by the surrounding peacefulness of the countryside. I will certainly be stopping by next time I’m in the area.

Just returned from two days at the Colonial House. As of three weeks ago, the inn is being managed by new owners. Ali and Lane are the most delightful couple and perfect inn owners. The changes they have made in the past few weeks are phenomenal (we had stayed here six years ago). The inn is right down the street from the town of Weston with the Vermont Country Store and the Christmas shop. The location is perfect and the staff are warm and extremely helpful. Ali and Lane are working hard to make the inn a picture postcard location and I am excited to see the future. There are parts of this inn that need an upgrade but they are quickly making great changes. Never slept so well and was never so relaxed as in this inn. Would definitely recommend.
